Fantasia is not happy.
The American Idol star has been under the media microscope this week following comments she made regarding Gay marriage that she insists were taken out of context.
Unfortunately for the 28 year old, her clarification on the matter has appeased some, but not all; with vocal critics raining a tirade of abuse on her online.
Clearly frustrated with the matter, the singer took to the very platform that sparked the debate, Instagram, to air out her feelings.

She then added…
Granted we believe none of this would have occurred had Fantasia not bothered “addressing the haters” to begin with, it’s hard not to feel sorry for her.
That said, all of her words (which, from our vantage point, were heartfelt and legitimate), should have been relayed in one all-encompassing press release - with the focus moving swiftly onto her new music ventures, namely new single ‘Lose To Win’ and its housing album.
By consistently showing folk how much they’ve got to her, she herself is pouring gas on a raging fire. Nevertheless, here’s hoping Ms. Barrino and her team find a tactful way to extinguish the furnace and remind the masses why they fell in love with her in the first place (see: unparalleled talent).

All the above is true, but I honestly believe that they gays overreact to everything. Its understandable what pain and anguish they go through because of how society either ignores them or portrays them negatively. It isn’t easy being gay, I would imagine. Everyone wants to play God’s “favorite human-being” and judge them, even those who aren’t believers of God tarnish them using the Bible. So, yes, I can empathize with the gays/LGBT members of our society and I choose to accept them, whether I agree with it or not, they are who they are. That being said, the LGBT community OVERREACTS about a lot of these things, especially with this Fanny incident. She was taken out of context (from what I perceived initially) and what she really meant was “Nothing in today’s society is what the Bible says should be/or mirrors the Bible’s and people like the gays, etc are judged wrongfully as she is”……..or something along those lines. Her wording could have been better, but she spoke from her heart, not a written, carefully planed thing. Its sad that she’s being reprimanded for something that more than likely wasn’t even her intention to say.
The sooner we accept ourselves, be proud of ourselves, and fully embrace ourselves, the sooner we let the bygones be bygones. Not everyone will/can agree with us and our lifestyles, we have to accept that and understand that the most important opinion that really matters most is our own.

She doesn’t know the difference btw. ‘no’ and ‘know’ or ‘to’ or ‘too’ and doesn’t know how to spell ‘seek.’ Purposefully using loose grammer, slang, or accidental typos is understandable but she is making 1st or 2nd grade level errors. Boy if she wanted to distract people from the subject matter she did a good job by using such poor writing. As for the subject matter, I think the problem is some people disagree as to whether homosexuality is really a sin or forbidden by the bible. Either way, she should not have compared it to whatever behavior she is being criticized for if she did not want to offend anyone. It’s too late now, she can’t take the words back. I do think she’ll get past this, but it’s gonna take time.

One more thing, the whole ‘taken out of context’ excuse if often misused. The full context of her statement was available. I read the whole comment, so for me no portion of it was taken out of the context. I guess she is trying to say that the comment was misinterpreted. I do agree that her comment was subject to more than one interpretation, one being less offensive than another. Again, I just think she should not have made the comparison that she made. How could she not know that it was potentially offensive? Then she comes back with a message that she had to know would just bring more attention to the matter and did not have anyone proofread it. Just seems like she is seeking negative attention.

Poor tasia smh, the media can tear you DOWN if you let them. If I was her, I would of left it at that. She made it clear the 1st time. I wouldnt of mentioned it until someone asked while on her promo train at interviews or something. Dont ask dont tell tasia is the key and even then keep it brief like you did the 1st time. I’ve said this time & again TWITTER & INSTAGRAM are the devil’s playground for these celebrities. I long for the time when there was a mystique about these people and I didn’t know every silly thought in their heads OR how truly “stoooopid” some of them are.
I feel bad for Fanty but if I was on her “team” I would shut down her accounts and only reveal PR-related ish like where she’s performing, song snippets, album info, etc. As a fan, I’m not here for her messy personal life only for her music!

So I think most of the “buzz” around this is very stupid. But I wll say this. Fantasia has had my support from all the damn votes cast to assist in her winning AI and my money spent buying her CDs and still buying from iTunes. As a part of any community be it media, gay, church, tv or radio. When a general statement is made about that community anyone will get offended however the reactions are what all this mess is about. She sounds just as dumd as the media has tried to make her seem, because of the comments of a few she lashed out at a group of ppl. that was a bad move and her team should have advised her against the inital statement and the follow up. both make her look stupid.
