Today’s the day!
In a mere matter of hours, Beyonce will take front stage centre to perform the US National Anthem at the public Inauguration of President Barack Obama for his second term.
The Washington DC spectacle, which expects to attract up to 800,000 people (and hundreds of millions watching worldwide), will also see performances from the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, and reportedly Lady GaGa too.
Nevertheless, all eyes will be on megastar Bey as she tackles America’s most iconic song – ‘The Star Spangled Banner’.
And so as to give fans an insight into her preparation process, King B shared shots of her rehearsing on her trusty Tumblr page. Check them out below, where her show-stopping performance of the National Anthem from the Super Bowl 2004 awaits too.

Billboard is handing out a pretty high honor to Rihanna: Top Pop Artist of the Last 20 Years.
I know.
They came to this conclusion looking at who topped the charts the most between 1992 and 2012, and according to them, Rihanna has:
The most chart appearances: 34
The most top 10s: 21
The most No. 1s: 9
That is quite a feat seven years in the game, even if music connoisseurs are blown away by the fact that she beat out other pop icons like Mariah Carey (no. 5), Usher (no. 7), Janet Jackson (no. 9), and even Madonna who was number 10 on the list. Queen/King Bey landed at 16, which makes Jennifer Lopez having the no. 18 spot sort of interesting. Coming in further down the Top 40 line are Chris Brown (no. 22), Destiny’s Child (no. 26), and TLC (no. 35). If Rihanna keeps cranking out these singles like she does, I’m sure we can expect her to snag many more titles like this one. Kudos to the navy.

I have nieces that love Beyonce but realistically a 5 second clip of her in a video isnt going to have that much impact on them. My point is, its not the celebs that make these changes it is the government ans if a parent share the same political belief as the celeb promotes, the child most likely will, if the young person is that heavily influenced then its up to the parent to sit them down and school them on the facts of life! Her tours and collaborational tours have grossed a combined total that is close to $400 million, and may be over half billion by the end of 2013, considering she’s going on a world tour this year.
Her movies have grossed $750 million worldwide, and in the US alone, her home DVD sales exceeded $110 million, with budget lower than $285 million. So in other words, she has pulled 3X the total budget.

Did someone say brandy, Christina & jhud can sing better than Beyonce? There is a difference between yelling and power. Beyonce voice was still baby in 2003, and she still did the national anthem justice. It was no Whitney performance but it was decent and she didnt yell or mess the words up.
