Take your sanctimonious ass elsewhere. Hits don’t make themselves. In order for an artists music to make a dent, they need publicity and promotion…and most of the names you just dropped either didn’t promote their new shit beyond the initial buzz *or* their music didn’t have sufficient enough backing from their label to reach an audience broad enough to make it endure. Most of the artists you named new songs did respectably well the first day/week they were released…then plummeted. That means fans DID try to support them out the gate.
Who knows how well JT’s new music will do, but my guess is that if his label feels that radio, media and the general public will be interested enough in him that they will give him the budget to ensure that it has the chance to do big things. If they doubt him and/or are too invested in another artist, then there’s a chance they won’t.
Stans can only do so much when the artist is too lazy to promote or doesn’t have enough budget/support from your team.
