He was referring to an analysis of the performance by a British audio engineer, Ian Shepherd. Mr. Shepherd pointed out that in some videos, like one posted by The Wall Street Journal, a second vocal track can clearly be heard, suggesting that Beyoncé was singing along to her own recording. But Mr. Shepherd added it appears the vocal that the audience heard was the live version. He pointed out that her voice was hard to hear when she began, then became louder, a sign that the sound engineer may have turned up her microphone. At another point, he said, her voice gets brassy when she leans closer to the microphone. He also pointed out that Beyoncé removed her earpiece monitor nearly 2 minutes into the song, suggesting that she was having trouble hearing the pitch of her voice through the monitor, perhaps because she was hearing the recorded version.
“None of these clues are conclusive,” Mr. Shepherd wrote, “but to fake all of them, plus the details of the performance itself, would make Beyoncé the best lip-synch artist in the world!”

She was lip syncing plain and simple. Many artists quietly ‘sing along’ to themselves so their mouth moves in time to the track as much as possible to try and make it look as believable as possible. This is called LIP SYNCING. No if’s or but’s. That’s what it is and that’s what she did.

Anyway, to answer your questions . . .
Have ypu ever listened to Eastern music? Almost half of Beyonce’s songs (including 3-4 of the songs you mentioned) have just THAT feeling to it, specially Afro, since she’s a huge fan of Afro music.
And to give you examples on American songs that sample Eastern music :

Run the World
And Rihanna’s “Jump”, from the first second to the last second. Even the dubstep beats and Rihanna’s vocals over it in the finale are inspired by something that was very popular back in 2003 in the Middle East.
So . . . Try to find the very thing these songs have in common, and that’s what makes Beyonce’s music deep.
I don’t like CIL and SL myself, and I think they are highly overrated, but I don’t think any of them was a “genric” or followed any genres.
And I know that Rihanna has a lot of great songs under her belt, “Jump” and “Numb” impressed me, but my whole point is . . . You cannot shade on Beyonce and call her “genric” when you clearly stan for Rihanna, who has at least 5 GENRIC DOT COM songs.

rymereason, JT doesn’t sing in his falsetto all the time. He just has a high type of tenor voice. In this song yes JT is singing in falsetto but JB doesnt have the vocal dynamic or range to be a better singer than anybody. Lol. Have u heard JB sing “Gone” with Nsync!? He definitely has the vocal weight that JB doesn’t have. JB is a boring singer and only good to teeny boppers. Get real!!! Control in his voice is the last thing he has. I heard him sing stevie wonder’s song for president Obama. Terrible and he has no strength in his voice.
