Watch: Brandy Performs ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ Acapella

Published: Wednesday 9th Jan 2013 by Sam

To deny the quality of Brandy‘s voice is borderline blasphemy. Indeed, by most counts, the Grammy winner is your favourite singer’s favourite singer.

And if ever uncertain why, this newly shared clip provides the answer in earnest.

Taken backstage prior to the 33 year old’s sold-out Best Buy Theater show in New York last Winter, the the video sees her tackle  ‘His Eye Is On The Sparrow’ with alien-like ease.

Watch the freshly engaged star in action below…

Chills.

Brandy’s latest album ‘Two Eleven’ is in stores now.

Did 2/11 sell 500,000 copies domestically in two months?

    • mobwife January 9, 2013

It’s an R&B CD. We have already been through this conversation about R&B vs Pop&Rap CD sells. Record sells or not, Brandy is a actual talent. I appreciate her efforts in today’s very CONTROLLED, FIXED, AND RIGGED MUSIC INDUSTRY!

    • Dev January 10, 2013

Sales do not mean a good album, sales just mean that someone has either promoted the hell outta it or the media saturate the radio with it. I can think of many albums that haven’t done well but are killing albums today. All people on here know is what the media feed them. Look a little deeper

    • MrKingQue January 10, 2013

if you take away the high album sales from adele’s 21 cd.. does that make the music bad??
..good music is decided by your ears and emotions felt.. not by what they shove down your throat!!!

      • Todd January 10, 2013

You better preach..people are so blinded by album sales its sickening…..You can not deny amazing talent!!!

  16. random January 9, 2013

did anyone else hear some lady saying Beyonce in the background? lol she probably witnessed the incredible gq cover!

  17. mobwife January 9, 2013

    SANG B Rocka! 🙂

That hair had to go though! She still looked cute, like a 20 year old!

  18. Sierra January 9, 2013

Two words True-talent. She giving me life singing this acapella! <3

  19. dee rock January 9, 2013

she can sing…..we all know this HOWEVER her two eleven cd is just lukewarm. thats why its not selling. she needs better songs. i wish her the best though.

    • dee rock January 10, 2013

keke ‘s voice is NO JOKE!! she is a beast!!

    • HALF AMAZIN January 10, 2013

Keke is good too but they have totally different voices. Keke is clearly a soprano and brandy is an alto. They both have incredible control over their voices. Why do you people on this site have to make everything a vicious competition??

  20. IDK January 10, 2013

    She killed it!

  21. HOWYOULIKEIT January 10, 2013

Yes B Rocka. Show these b****** how to sing

  22. BranNu83 January 10, 2013

What more can be said? Brandy has given us effortless runs in a way that makes you fein for them. You cannot compare what she does to anyone else’s voice. Monica has her place, Beyonce has her place and Brandy has hers. I think it just comes down to respect for the voice and emotion she invokes when she sings.

  23. nickalus Randle January 10, 2013

YES GAWD NESSA, LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. cocobutta January 10, 2013

1st point: GREATNESS though just a few words didnt need a run on them but thats tiny details, cus she slayed as she does!!

2nd point: WTF is this single. Bran this album must NOT go to waste with the AMOUNT of songs that could be singles. Should be on 4th single by now.

Anyway as long as she keeps making music ima be there buying, just want more from the Two Eleven era
