Watch: Miguel Performs ‘Adorn’ On ‘Leno’

Published: Wednesday 9th Jan 2013 by Sam

It’s almost a year since Miguel‘s mega-smash ‘Adorn’ first appeared on his “between albums mixtape” ‘Art Dealer Chic Vol 1’. Fast forward twelve months, and the track has become the hit that keeps giving.

Upgraded to serve as the lead single from the stage blazer’s critically acclaimed sophomore set ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’, the moody midtempo not only became the biggest Urban radio hit of 2012, it garnered three Grammy nominations – Song of the Year, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance.

With the 55th annual Grammy’s exactly a month away, the crooner is milking the cut for all it’s worth – taking to the stage on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night to perform it.

Listen I don’t know whether this muheffer was high or drunk but he needs to calm it asap. He’s got a great voice but hews sounding pitchy and behaving eratically. Still vocally better than loads of guys in his lane

Solid performance. His voice began to grow tired at the end but the beginning was great.

I love Miguel’s music. I’ve seen him perform twice and on both times his vocals were on point. I will say, however that he does suffer from Alicia -NOT on Keys- syndrome. He sometimes strains his voice and ends up sounding flat and pitchy on certain notes. Unlike Alicia he rights songs that he doesn’t have to strain himself to sing during live performances, but sometimes he over does the vocals.

I also like his smooth swag on stage. He reminds me if James Brown.
