Kelly Rowland may have declared 2013 the ‘Year Of The Woman’, however in a new interview at the Grammy Awards tonight the singer confirmed that her fourth studio album now boasts a new title.

In keeping it totally 100, we were beginning to wonder how sensual cuts such as ‘Ice’ and the like would fit into the context of ‘Year Of The Woman’. Ms. Kelly is clearly in a sassier place and space and we the new album title aptly reflects that.
Whatever it’s called, we’re just keen to hear it sooner rather than later. ‘Kisses Down Low’ is performing particularly well out of the gate, hence we hope its anticipated success creates pathway for the album’s release.

I mean I don’t think this album will do well vs Katy, Beyoncé, Britney, Gaga and the other top girls but for an R&B album by Kelly Rowland I think it will do well. I’m glad she’s finally getting attention from the media. Her team will get her some TV spots and interviews if they are clever, call up Beyoncé and see which ones she turned down.

Single & video delays, album name changes, no live performances etc. Does anyone remember Rico Love saying she was meant to drop a new album LAST Spring?
This new album is going the way of Ms. Kelly, just a messy era with single choices that are neither here nor there. Here I Am was a messy era too but at least she achieved UK Top 10’s and 3 certified singles, When Love Takes Over, Commander and Motivation. She wants to do RnB but she’s not promoting it well in the US and the rest of the world doesn’t want it; check Motivations unfavorable chart positions outside the US, especially the UK, then compare how well What A Feeling and Down For Whatever did. Even Miguel’s Adorn didn’t chart! RnB just is not happening worldwide but Adult Contemporary Soul is (see Adele) which is why Kelly needs to get back with her Simply Deep contributors and mix that up with some Donna Summer Dance vibes so she can have a UNIQUE position in the Pop world.
She was doing so well when she first split from Mathew, she had the determination and drive and she CARED about her career more. Now she’s too busy talking about Beyonce and Michelle being incredible women. Sam, respectfully, if she flops this time what will you say? Three flop albums in a row is not excusable when you have her platform, money, label size and artistic resources.

Scrap all 50 records and demand your record label invest in some seriously great material and great writers a la Rihanna peoples (not ester). All the attention you have received from just showing up is more than 100 sangers could ever dream of. You are in a position to demand they seize the chance to make a huge mark with this album.
Yesterdays look was a shocker but this should not become her M.O. She needs to be more couture fashion but with class and s*** without having to be so literal. If not she is in danger of the mainstream just seeing her a a whorey soft core p*** star who sings about s**. Rihanna was over exposed s*** last night but had she shown less nipple it would have been the most elegantly s*** dress on the carpet.
This interview tells me Kelly is still not comfortable with this explicit material and I think it will show in the records, performances and sales. She needs to find HER voice. Hate Dawn Richard all you want but she has more of a unique artistic voice than most artist out bar the new indie kats. Her music comes with so much thought and direction. I’d love her team to get to work on a few tracks for Kelly and see how she lives with the sound, if she can find her creative view point that will allow her to really connect with what she is doing.
Kellys old dance music and DJ collabs feel so genuine and her voice sounds so rich and bright in that genre. It also appeals to an audience that buy and support good music.
