For Rihanna, having Roc Nation and Def Jam in her corner has seen her become-whether one likes it or not- one of the world’s greatest Pop stars.
So, now that he can boast of having the same combination, it’s no wonder Elijah Blake is fast becoming the breakout act of 2013, on course to break ground originally carved by Def Jam sibling, Frank Ocean.
Now watch as he speaks to the Power 106′s Yesi Ortiz on his debut EP ‘Bijoux 22‘ and his debut album’s lead single, ‘Come Away‘ featuring Big Sean.

I’m all for tgj championing new singers but Im starting to feel that the industry is trying to weed Chris out. First with Justin and now this guy. They wouldn’t stand a chance in the industry if Chris wasn’t so hated.

Typical poor me mentality. You really think Chris is that powerful do you? Chris was going to be big but he ruined it and that’s nobody’s fault but his own. I’m only beginning to listen to Elijah and from what I can hear he sounds nothing like him so what are you talking about?

Both Elijah and Chris are obviously inspired by Brandy’s vocal stylings, but other than that they are totally different. I like Elijah, and I hope he breaks out and becomes a star in his own right.

The way you bitches will start a stan war over everyone. Chris USED to be the shit but the only one he should be worried about is Justine Babette. Elijah is totally different.

Chris Brown wannabe… He is to Chris Brown what Rita Ora is to Rihanna, a FLOP artist that the media is gonna use to try “end” Chris’s career.

Huh? How is he a Chris Brown wannabe? Elijah doesn’t dance, his music isn’t geared toward annoying teenage girls, and Elijah’s swag is totally different. If anyone is a Chris Brown wannabe, it’s that B. Smith guy that Sam posted a day or two ago….you’re dismissed.

I don’t understand the Breezy comparisons honestly. He gives me more Frank Ocean vibes than CB.

So basically ya’ll compare him to Chris because he is light skinned and he sings. Wow! But they’re music is different and as you can see, Elijah is establishing himself more before he puts out music. I could see the comparisons between him & Bei Maejor but not Chris.

Why are Team BeatMe saying he’s trying to replace Chris? If anything, I would think that Def Jams is trying to fill in the missing NeYo spot.
