This woman has absolutely one of the GREATEST voices to grace this generation thus far… That I have heard as of late.
I just wish she was given good material to sing and not the slap-and-dash/throw-away generic R&B that is being handed to her which is why I think it is INSTRUMENTAL for an artist to know how to write/produce their OWN music.

She’s an example of an artist that has the instrument but not the resources to nurture that instrument. Many artists, especially nowadays have this problem, its very rare that we see an artist that has both the instrument and resources to nurture it. Whitney would be a fantastic example of all these elements plus support and marketability all play together.

The thing is apart from tjhe appeal and marketability, Jennifer doesn´t have Whitney´s voice either. She has power and range. But it´s not only about that. Adele ´s range and power are inferior but any person in the world as sales prove would tell you they fell in love with Adele´s voice, not with Jennifer´s or Beyonce´s for example. Whitney is that kind of voice that is untoucheable, like Mariah´s or Celine´s

She sounded so good. Especially by her standards. It was emotional too. But she´s not underrated, her voice has power but doesn´t have it all like true greats, she will never be able to record memorable material or become a chart phenomenom
