If you’re anything like us, confirmation of a new Lil Kim album would have marked one of the most exciting pieces of news to come this year.
So, you can imagine our excitement when she caught up with DJ Whoo Kid to dish on the forthcoming project and a number of hot topics surrounding her come back.
From her tough upbringing, her plans to reinvent herself to her feelings towards former love rival Faith Evans, the interview also sees her address her problem with ‘Street King‘ genius 50 Cent and the truth behind her departure from Atlantic Records.

Interviews like these serve as a reminder as to why there was once was a time that everyone loved Kim. Articulate and in some respects adorable, hearing her share her story- sans the Nicki Minaj induced anger- has us all too excited for the next era of her career, whatever it brings commercially.
Let’s just hope she surrounds herself with folk with the means to give her new material the fire power she deserves- ie videos, media appearances, radio etc. For, while we doubt she’ll pull in Drake numbers, there’s no doubt this new album will be critically acclaimed if its half as good as ‘The Naked Truth‘.

Why LilKim won’t just be honest for once in her life? She’s misleading these guys to think she’s gonna drop some music with Biggie on it. Now she knows damn well Ms. Voletta Wallace will sue da sh*t outta her a** if she even goes near a Biggie song. The misleading (lies)is part of the reason she’s struggling so hard to stay relevant. I don’t know about anyone else but i just don’t see music for Kim in this era.
