Listen: Ciara Talks ‘One Woman Army’ Tracklist, Leaves Off ‘Sweat’ & ‘Got Me Good’?

Published: Thursday 28th Mar 2013 by Rashad

As fans know, June 4th marks the day stageblazer Ciara‘s fifth album ‘One Woman Army’ marches onto record shelves.

With the stakes higher than ever, the songstress is in heavy promo for her Future-assisted, latest hit ‘Body Party’.  And, while fans are still grooving to the Mike Will-produced number, Cici has taken to radio to drop news on what other collaborators and songs can be expected on the forthcoming LP.

You may have already known about Nicki Minaj and Future’s contributions to the album, but tuck in below to see if your favorite song from ‘O.W.A.’ made the cut or ended up on the cutting room floor…

Start at 3:50

And, with no mention of the Rick Ross-enlisted number ‘Boy Outta Here’ we fear that may have gotten the axe as well.

Your thoughts?

When the album comes out, sorry, IF the album comes out, I’ll just go buy “Overdose” and “Livin it up”, she can keep the rest.

  2. HoneychildPlease March 28, 2013

Interviewer: “That song is a breath of fresh air”/”Everything is saturated with Dance music these days, you’ve got Rihanna putting out 50 Million Dance tracks/That song is something brand new and so different”.

WAIT. So, let me get this straight… Is this person seriously trying to make ‘Body party’ out to be a brand new step in 21st Century Pop-musical innovation? LMAO.

‘Body Party’ doesn’t even with-hold a fraction of artistic merit. It’s generic as the rest; lyrically and production-wise, and sounds like a Janet Jackson ‘Janet/All For You’ B-Side. Has the song even charted on ANY chart?

And was he subliminally trying to diss Rihanna aswell? At least she actually scores #1 hits.

    THE DELUSIONS.

    • Karma March 28, 2013

Why the hate? Do you not have friends in real life that you would hate on someone you don’t know? WHy does everyone want to fit in with haters?

      • MC 4 LYF B**** March 28, 2013

His comment seemed VERY neutral to me.

Where was the hate? Do you not have friends that you have to ask someone, who YOU don’t know, why their hating? Why is it bothering you?

        GOODBYE >>>

    • Antonio March 28, 2013

Are you serious. You obviously must not have read any of the critic reviews of Body Party. This song has receieved nothing but great reviews for Ciara’s vocals and specifically it’s production. Yes, the song was also compared to Prince and Janet Jackson due to those two being strong influences on this album. Compared to the other generic R&B songs out now (Kisses Down Low, Pour It Up, Fumble), Body Party sounds completely different. And another thing, the song has charted within the Top 40 on the R&B/HH charts and also on the Top 100 Digital Songs charts, so please have facts to back your ridiculous hating ass comments.

    • JER March 29, 2013

HE WENT TO JARED!!!! YOU BETTER GO IN B****!!!

      • FAF March 29, 2013

Yesss ANTONIO!! CLOCK T ON HIS WHITE ASS!!

Love Ciara – such a beautiful person

    #BodyParty all day! #classic!

  6. Riqueen March 28, 2013

And the two tracks she left out were the ones i hated so thank god.

  7. trina March 28, 2013

Still gonna flop !! She should have released the album back in 2012 when “Sorry” was “””””hot””””

    • riri bad March 28, 2013

      sorry was never hot

      • trina March 28, 2013

        LOL !! U’re right !! I just wanted to be a little bit sweet today ^^ !!

  8. Taeys March 28, 2013

This interviewer is delusional x10!!! Where is Rihanna dance tracks??? Sweat and Got me good were dance tracks tho!! I just can’t! Diamonds, Stay, Pour it up, those are all different and not dance generic maybe but nowhere near the generic level of Ciara’s Sweat, Got me good etc.

    • Antonio March 28, 2013

Pour It Up sounds like all the other ratchet urban club bangers, Stay is a typical Pop ballad akin to songs
Iike Beautiful, You Lost Me and Everytime. Diamonds was the only unique song on Unapologetic tbh

      • FAF March 29, 2013

        Rihanna doesn’t have dance tracks?
        “Who’s that chick?”
        “Only girl”
        “Disturbia”
        “S&M”

Ciara dance tracks are urban/hip-hop rihanna’s are POP

  9. THE GREAT LACEFRONCE. March 28, 2013

    She will FLOP like usual

    50K first week

Maybe Queen Rih will let her be a dancer on her tour or something ?? 🙂

    • trina March 28, 2013

QUEEN LACEFRONCE HAS SPOKEN !!!!!!!!!!! Heeeey honey ^^ !!!!!!!!!

      • FAF March 29, 2013

Rihanna will be DROPPED by def jam after this yr! Thats why “her break” is for her to re-do her contract 🙂 thats the significance of “7”
        😆

  10. Kyle March 28, 2013

I think it’s good she leaves off “Sweat” and “Got Me Good” because those songs didn’t really do anything for her. I think it’s clear to see that her musical direction has shifted a bit since she first announced the launch of “One Woman Army” last summer so I’m glad she’s happy with where it’s going and I’m sure it’s not going to disappoint. I’m pumped!

  11. Mother Mariah March 28, 2013

Her music just doesn’t stick. Hell, Ciara doesn’t stick at all. She’s been in the game for almost ten years and still has no identity.

  12. Taeys March 28, 2013

It does most of Mike Will productions sound similar. But that isn’t the point. The point is the interviewer said Rihanna released 50 million dance tracks that sound the same. Last Time I checked Rihannas newer releases. I see a classic electronic ballad. A piano balled. And a hip hop club song… Where the dance at? However… Ciara released Sweat and Got me Good 2 dance tracks? It’s ridiculous that the interviewer would make such a blanket statement and be oh so wrong. Ciara is with out a doubt one of the least groundbreaking or innovative recording artists to have come out. Her formula is the most basic just like her sound. Rihanna has true lyrical gems and songs with deeper meanings and much more serious adult subject matters. Rihanna has songs like Diamonds, Russian Roulette, Man Down, Unfaithful, Te Amo and much more! Ciara has what? Promise? Goodies? Love s** magic? Sorry? Come on Rihanna has the better more diverse catalog! Ciara is a one trick dog with dance skills. I don’t hate Ciara but I hate lies. Rihanna leaves much to be desired inwardly but her music is top notch!

    • Antonio March 29, 2013

Ciara has Other Chicks, And I,Next to You, My Love, So Hard, I Found Myself, Keep Dancing on Me, Lover’s Thing, Speechless, Love’s Funny, Flaws and All, If Only, Swim, etc. Songs with strong lyrical themes and strong subject matter. The fact that you mentioned Te Amo, Man Down and Unfaithful is just ridiculous. None of those songs are lyrical serious. Now if you mentioned Question Existing, Fire Bomb, Cold Case Love or LLTWYL, it’d be a different story…

      • Taeys March 29, 2013

My point was that Rihanna’s musical themes are diverse. Are you gonna pretend like Rihanna music isn’t more diverse then Ciara’s? Are you gonna pretend that Work, Gimmie dat, and Got me Good, aren’t basically the same damn song?

  13. jaytuenchi March 28, 2013

She is so boring to me and that fake voice Body Party is cute but putting Hoeseline and DL J in it for what b**** you should have served grown and s*** like you did in Promise not no old school cookout 90s style video and stop using turn up or turnt up b**** you say it to much like damn might as well name your album that since one women army pertains to nothing u have released

  14. TheCreat1veOne March 28, 2013

The delusional people calling Sweat a dance track… -_- Sweat is a pure hip-hop club joint, plus the interviewer was probably referring to all the dance pop tracks such as We Found Love, Diamonds, David Guetta ish, etc. Got Me Good was pop, but at least it wasn’t the typical euro pop that is still everywhere right now!

    • JER March 29, 2013

Take an extra stadium with you when you sit down b****. BYE

  15. JER March 29, 2013

OOP! I see you trying to sweep two singles under the rug grrrl! C-error is cutching those receipts and hiding them up her lacefront!!! Grrrrrrrl

  16. SMH March 29, 2013

THIS ALBUM WILL FLOP,AND WHEN I SAY FLOP I MEAN HARD. WHY WOULD SHE/HE RELEASE AN ALBUM WHEN ALL 3 OR 4(I LOST COUNT)SINGLES THAT HAVE BEEN RELEASED FAILED TO MAKE AN IMPACT. DO US A FAVOR CIARA AND RETIRE WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A LITTLE RESPECT LEFT.

  17. danny b March 29, 2013

Even though Got Me Good did nothing on the charts, I still think its a GREAT dance song akin Ciara’s style of dance mix, a la 1, 2 Step, Gimmie Dat & Work. She always performs the hell of it. Even though it was a flop, I think it serves a purpose and reminds people that Ci does have her own swag and style, thus I feel it should be on the album. Sweat was s*** tho so that should be left off.

  18. cocobutta March 29, 2013

    hmmm Release date is??

    TBC….

    • FAF March 29, 2013

    FLOP!!!!!!!!

    • Taeys March 29, 2013

      indeed!

  20. navy reign March 29, 2013

If you ask me she can not dance. Rihanna dances WAYYYYYYY better than her.

    • Taeys March 29, 2013

The real Navy Knows Ciara dances better then Princess Rihanna. The thing is Ciara is dancing in parking lots, Bathrooms, and Utility closets, Rihanna, walks back and forth on her sold out tours jamming out to her worldwide smash hits. Something Ciara will never do!

  21. FAF March 29, 2013

    YESSS CI! Slay urban radio! Most adds and a slow R&B track giving me “Promise” Slow burners>>> QUICK BURN-OUTS like that other Def Jam Signee 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

    • Taeys March 29, 2013

When will Ciara headline a tour hun? Beyonce and Rihanna have several successful headlining tours babe? When will Ciara? Rihanna has 7 certified albums. When will Fantasy Ride go Gold? When will Basic Instinct? You are so delusional. Diamonds, Stay, and Pour it up are on the charts at higher positions then Body Party that was released weeks ago! You know damn well Ciara singles flop! Talkin bout slow burners girl…

  22. FLOP March 29, 2013

THIS FLOP B**** IS STILL GONNA RELEASE ONE FLOP ARMY AFTER SHE HAD 345545 SINGLES THAT FLOPPED!!! MEANWHILE RIHANNA HAS 5 SONGS ON BILLBOARDS CHARTS 2 IN THE TOP 20! CIARA WILL NEVER!!

  23. jesse March 29, 2013

Must be preety delusinal to think that rihanna dances better than ciara. You know that TRULY when no navy members backed up your comments. Stgu. You should be PUNCHED in _/ _/ _/ _/

EVen if ciara album doesn’t do good, you guys should be a little bit more respectful shes a human being.. and so is rihanna, if she flopps then let it be, shes giving it her absolute all and thats all that matters. everyone including herself inside knows she wont sell good unless she joins the illuminati with rihanna, and ciara knows this..

  28. Björn April 6, 2013
