For many Michelle Williams is known as the bubbly, easygoing member of the fierce diva syndicate Destiny’s Child. However, as Williams recently revealed, she dealt with years of depression – a circumstance even some close to her were unaware of.
Taking the step to unveil her battle with and eventual victory over the issue, the ‘Heard A Word’ hitmaker took to CNN to share a word about her bout with depression and talk about her new foundation.
Also quizzed on her critically acclaimed showing on ‘Fela’ the musical, tuck in below to see Williams chat about this, Destiny’s Child reuniting, and more from earlier today:
Michelle’s appearance on CNN comes just days after the announcement that she would be unveiling her own reality show. Click here to hear what Michelle told That Grape Juice about her role in ‘Fela’…

NEW RECORD LABEL, NEW ALBUM, NEW TOUR, NEW REALITY TV SHOW!
QUEEN TENITRA, THE GREAT STAYS WINNING!
Never been a more exciting time at #TeamMichelle
Can’t wait for this new album. Michelle’s vocals improve with every performance and Harmony Samuels (Chris Brown, Janelle Monae, Brandy, JHud, Fantasia) and Warryn Campell (Mary Mary: “Shackles”, “God in Me”) never dissapoint on production

I think that doing a Gospel album is always great and I love Gospel but I think this is the year that people want to see Michelle expand her horizons with her music. By means, I want her to do an Urban R&B/Pop or whatever Album, so she can show what more she’s got.

She’s already put out an Urban R&B Pop album.. “Unexpected” back in 08. She tried it, made a great album, but realzied it wasnt her niche and Gospel is her lane. Not saying she should be stuck in a box but everyone has their lane in which they succeed. If you really wanted to her to branch out, you wouldve already known that she already had before,,,
