Guess who decided to give those vocals a rest?
Yep, perhaps in realising the sound that springs from her mouth can at times give ‘nails on a chalkboard’ realness, last week saw Rihanna employ a backing vocal during her performance of ‘Pour It Up’ on the first night of her ‘Diamonds World Tour’.
Opting to execute a stripper friendly choreography instead of singing live, her serving of the song does make for an interesting watch, telling a number of tales on how many hours both she and team spent in rehearsing for the show.
Watch and weigh in below…
Though she gets an A for trying, the mechanical nature of her moves just proves that there isn’t much Riri is exceptional as an entertainer. For, while Paula danced and Mariah sang, Rihanna does…well…she does neither very well.
A little worrying, considering the tour’s forthcoming stadium dates will only highlight this fact more. So, until she does decide to give us something as impressive as her ‘Where Have You Been‘ set on ‘American Idol‘, we’ll press play and admire what’s below…

It’s not a big deal if an artist lip syncs. On shows like Top Of The Pops, Soul Train, etc they are usually required to lip sync their songs. I remember seeing Britney Spears in concert and she lip synced all her songs with the exception of two songs which were slow songs and didn’t require her dancing. It’s hard singing live & dancing at the same time, or sometimes they could be other reasons why they lip sync. I’m assuming since she canceled her second concert probably had something to do with being sick on the first night of the show perhaps? I don’t know…

Didn’t America declare that lip syncin is ok since Beyonce got caught. The Hive really need to chill because Beyonce never sings live if you need proof go look at any of her perfomances and look at where her mic is positioned. Back to the topic Rihanna did well considering she has not completely healed. These stan wars are the reason why music is going to the dogs. One question before I live when is Beyonce’s single coming out, does anybody know if its uptempo or a balad?

no they didnt and i have been at beyonce concerts and she does sing live honey cause during the performance she stopped to hug a fan and it didnt look performed so shut up,its really disgusting,bey does sing live look at her before fame videos,she sang better than rihanna now.
i dont know bout the nationAL antheme but i swear on my life beyonce sings live when she in my hometown,ive seen the way she just stop singing to greet fans and the way she gets tired and breathes into the mic,too real to fake.
