There’s, of course, the sound she chooses to channel sonically — which we hope is more ‘Emancipation’ than ‘Touch My Body’. Then there’s the issue of live performances, which have been touch-and-go — at best.

It’s disturbing to see this generation disrespect such a wonderful voice, even if shes doesnt sing as strongly as before. That was not her first song where she allowed the rappers to take the lead. Mariah is smart. She studies music and the charts and what is hot, so when we condone Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s nonsense on the charts and act like it’s hot, it tricks people who analyze music. Mariah thought that we would all enjoy Triumphant, but she didn’t realize that we just TOLERATE Ross.

I just need her to add to her catalogue. Mariah has ALWAYS delivered on live records. Anyone that didn’t hear her last Christmas album missed out on magic. I could play that record ANYTIME of the year. I just know that Mariah is re-inspired to make classic music because she has been taken back to her previous mind-state when she fell in love with music and inspired millions around the globe with her craft. Meeting all of these kids that looked up to her really took Mariah to that special place. God places you where you need to be and I think Mariah needed Idol for inspiration. Meeting Burnell, Candice, Amber, and Angie has really touched Mariah!

I agree with you. I think Idol has inspired Mariah on many levels, as a mentor, singer, and as an overall artist. I dont think this project will be a comeback like The Emancipation but I do think that it will be loved and respected amoungst music lovers. Mariah’s problem is not music, Memoirs was amazing, her problem is singles and marketing. If Mariah had the same team behind her as she did when TEOM came out, with out a doubt this album would soar as well .
