After enlisting Calvin Harris to join her second album’s production team, Rita Ora hit Glastonbury 2013 last night with a performance at the annual festival.
Joined by a crew of dancers, a well rehearsed band and attention grabbing stage, the highlight of Rita’s set was none other than the performer herself, gliding through every cut with pitch perfect vocals and a charisma that’ll pour through your screen as you watch it below.
At this point, our stance that Rita’s one of Pop’s strongest performers goes unshaken, for reasons you’ll understand after the jump!
Killed it.
Sure, while her styling is still far too high fashion for an act who would far better as ‘the girl next door’, the performance above is exactly why we can’t wait for her to kick off her US campaign.
For, the only reason ‘ORA‘ didn’t pop Stateside was because so much of her time was spent promoting it here.
However, if armed with the same fire and skill she took to the stage last night to the likes of ‘Ellen‘, ‘Wendy‘ and ‘Kimmel’, there’s no reason for her not to soar….especially with the well oiled machine that is Roc Nation/Columbia behind her.
As we said before, our only gripe with her stage shows are her styling and (forgive us for this Rita)… her dancers.
Call us crazy, but we’d say Ms.Ora’s shows would fare better with a troop of Tumblr ready Fly Girls, (of the same age and build) throwing down behind her.

Killed it? Killed what? Sam, I have absolutely nothing against Rita Ora but you give this girl too much credit. While she does sing well, she brings absolutely nothing else to the table. And save that she didn’t release ORA here in the US because she was busy promoting in the UK crap. They released a few singles here, and each one failed on the charts. Jessie J has a much better chance at making it here. I don’t care how you look at it, Rita Ora will always be the poor man’s version of Rihanna until she finds who she really is. That video you posted of Rih proved just that.

HAHAHAHAHA!! There’s a few reasons I come to this site. 1) It’s on it’s game with the news in music, it’s a one stop spot for Rihanna news. 2) The struggle to try to diss Rihanna and make people like Rita and Ciara seems more and bigger. But I get why THE EDITOR who don’t like Rih Rih post so many Rihanna post, his faves (Rita and Ciara) can’t get the same number of traffic that Rih gets. This post only has 10 comments and been up for a few hours, look at ANY Rihanna post and it’s from 150 to 250 comments. Poor EDITOR, this site can’t live without Rih and stan wars.
