J.Cole has much cause to celebrate today!
Well, at least if he’s been keeping on eye on the sales of his brand new album ‘Born Sinner’ and that of its closest competition ‘Yeezus‘, by Kanye West.
Find out why below…
After peaking at #2 in its first week of release, the undying support for ‘Sinner’ has seen rocket to #1 on this week’s Billboard 200 chart, shifting 58,000 units in the last.
More importantly though, this week’s sales of the project have seen him outsell ‘Yeezus‘- boasting 439,000 units, 8,000 units above the 431,000 copies the latter has sold in the US thus far.
Marking excellent news for the ‘Vendetta‘ performer, his run at the top is set to be cut short by Jay Z‘s new LP ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail‘, which is predicted to sell close to 450,000 units in the coming week, joined by the force that is Ciara’s self titled new album, ‘Ciara‘- released on July 9th!
