New Song: Robin Thicke – ‘Ooh La La’

Published: Friday 19th Jul 2013 by David

Hop into bed with ‘Ooh La La‘, the Pro-Jay produced jam by R&B royal Robin Thicke.

Disco inspired and marking more upbeat territory for the usually sensual star, the track is one of many gems to be found on his July 30th release, ‘Blurred Lines’.

How does this fare when compared to the album’s lead single?

Find out after the jump…

Clearly, Robin Thicke did not expect to crown the Hot 100 and hit #1 in quite a few other countries. This song is not the logical successor to a monster international hit like Blurred Lines, but it’s what I’d expect for an uptempo track from him.

I actually like it! It definitely has that “70’s” feel to it, and that’s why I like it. It’s different. It’s nice to hear him doing some up-tempo songs, because he’s always been known to be a sensual crooner.

2017 is certainly not shaping up to be a good year for R&B crooner Robin Thicke. The Grammy-nominated singer, reportedly still reeling from the death of his father/actor Alan Thicke in late 2016, spent the latter half of his year in a custody battle with ex-wife/actress Paula Patton. Things took an even… Read More
