Legendary ‘Through The Fire’ hitmaker Chaka Khan set the net ablaze today when rumors swirled that a series of clashes between she and troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan prompted the R&B diva to make a grand exit.
The report gained footing across outlets so fast, Khan decided to cool the story by offering her side of the story in an open letter lifted to her website earlier today. Detailing a stint in rehab few knew she was even committed to, the ‘I’m Every Woman’ wailer shared news on her addiction, time with Lindsay, and more in this must read:

“To choose to do what is necessary to better one’s self is commendable. I applaud Lindsay Lohan for doing the work. She is a lovely young lady and I pray for her well-being. The battle of addiction is a serious and long process, which is why I chose to address my use of prescription medications—which came about as a result of the knee surgery I had a few years ago. When and if necessary, I will seek alternative methods and traditional treatment to stay ahead of any potential problem.
So many are not here today, and have lost this battle with addiction. Because these medications are legal, their abuse is often unknown—until it’s too late. If not handled they are a silent killer.”

I was making a comment on the fact the TGJ initially reported the story as fact, only to have changed their tune and included the word “alleged” when chaka and Linsey tweeted on the matter…You’re actually supposed to do that first…P.s the f****** Queen of England could have reported it, without proof, legally you have to preface an article with “allegedly”…and I’m the stupid one.

It’s so clear to see what happened here. The story about them fighting IS true, but because neither of them want the other to start spilling tea about the other’s rehab time to the press they’re doing the right thing and pretending to be friendly.
If they were friends why would Chaka leave the centre and why would that story suddenly appear out of thin air when no one even knew Chaka was IN rehab.
Anyway, I’m happy she’s getting help because we’d still have Whitney if she went to rehab too.
Ummm… Lindsay isn’t even in that rehabilitation center anymore. I doubt Chaka would leave after Lindsay did if this story is actually true.
