Two years before he celebrates the tenth anniversary of his debut, Chris Brown has announced the birth of a biopic documenting his inspirational rise to the top, and well publicised run while there.

While there’s no word on a release date just yet, the movie will boast direction from the 45 year old Singleton, responsible for the 1993 classic ‘Poetic Justice’, starring Tupac Shakur and Janet Jackson and Oscar nominated ‘Boyz In The Hood‘!
News of the movie comes as fans await the release of his sixth studio album, ‘X’, and one year after he made a brief appearance in Tim Story‘s ‘Think Like A Man’, which he helped to bring in $96,070,507 at the Box Office upon its April 2012 release!

He’s still too young and immature to be ready to admit the truth about this life — Rihanna, the drugs, violent outbursts. Maybe at 50 . . .
Love him or loathe him, Chris Brown remains one of the most buzzed about/controversial artists of our time. Whether it be his constant personal issues or chart wins… I think that there lies an interesting story that’s worthy of being told. One that if done correctly, could paint a clearer picture of the man behind the controversial headlines.
And hey… If currently relevant acts such as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, One Direction, and Justin Bieber (heavily influenced by CB) have all come out after Chris Brown and have had fluffy/faux inspirational biopics done of them… There’s no reason why he can’t either. Hell, at least his story and how the filmmakers interpret his life in and out of the spotlight, will be a lot more REAL + interesting to see.
Randomness: Why hasn’t anyone recommended that Chris Brown does something similar to what T.I. did with MTV in 2009 before he went to prison for possession of those illegal firearms… And star in a reality series that documents him positively impacting young men who may be traveling down the wrong path by visiting them at their home, sharing unique insights about his own mistakes and the effect that they’ve had on his professional endeavors and then bringing in subject matter experts and life coaches to see them through a transformative experience/treatment that gives them the nudge needed to do better? I think that did a ton to rehabilitate T.I.’s image and laid the groundwork for him and his family to star in their own Modern Huxtable-esque reality show that’s on VH1.
But I think that someone needs to see this process out for CB first— whether they show him actively talking to a therapist, going to rehab, and/or scenes of him completing his hard labor community service and positioning this operation as his own unique added service to the community, in an effort to leave a better mark on the world… It would have to be transparent and authentic.

Christina, if your really looking to do a biopic, just do a 20 minute short film. More than enough time to sum up your career plus all anyone cares about is what happened in that car, so they’re more likely to just skip to that part anyway and disregard everything else….
