As unfortunate as these tweets are, perhaps this is Chris taking another step in the right direction.
For, when one looks at how the pressures of fame have come close to consuming so many of peers (see Britney circa ’07), stepping away from the limelight may be the best thing for him.
For, it’s far too easy to forget that Brown is only 23 years old, and could easily make a swift career change if his heart simply isn’t in music anymore. A little extreme? Perhaps.
However, if quitting music while he’s ahead sees the world enjoy Chris in a different arena in the years to come, pulling the plug after ‘X’ might not be such a bad idea.
After all, if Mark Wahlberg could successfully reinvent himself after all the mess he was in, why can’t Chris?

Retire is something he should’ve done after the incident. His career ended that night but he continued to try and released flop after flop after flop. Chris takes his place among the Aaron Carters and Jesse McCartney’s of the world as just a cute face who can dance for teenage girls to fall in love with. Eventually they’d outgrow him and his career would be over but his beating of Rihanna cut about three years off of his career. He wasn’t made to last. As I said before, he is nothing but a glorified backup dancer who can’t carry a tune without the help of auto tune. TGJ, Mark Walberg made a comeback because he had real talent.
