1.5 million streams and 750,000 downloads undoubtedly makes Elijah Blake‘s ‘Bijoux 22′ one of the last year’s fastest moving releases- generating that many numbers since December 2012.
Indeed, after watching his digital popularity spread via word of mouth and a buzz currently taking the College circuit by storm, the Dominican Contralto has now set his sights on the mainstream notoriety he’s yet to garner.

Teasing the new release yesterday, the Hip Hop vocalist is currently gearing up for the release of ‘Bijoux 23‘, the follow up to ‘22‘, which features the Britney Spears and Rihanna linked release, ‘Runnin’ Blind’.
Featuring material produced by ‘End of Time’ maestro Diplo, this EP will serve as the bridge between ’22′ and his debut album, produced by Kanye West producer NO I.D and overseen by Roc Nation’s Jay Brown, the manager he shares with ‘Right Now‘ singer Rihanna.
In adding to the project’s momentum, last night saw ‘Refill’ performer Elle Varner reveal that the lead single to be pulled from her sophomore album had been penned by Elijah and Whitney Houston producer Eric Hudson!
Named ‘Rover’, the single’s release is set to precede the release of material written by Blake for the ‘X Factor UK’- more specifically, its Season 9 winner James Arthur.
Set to feature on the ‘Somebody Loves You’ singer’s debut effort, his work with James marks his third run with an ‘X Factor‘ ‘family member’, after penning material for JLS’ last studio album, ‘Evolution‘ last year and teaming up with Britney Spears to collaborate on her Will.i.am driven eighth studio album.
