Like most award shows this year, millions the world over tuned in to the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night with hope of seeing chart titan Beyonce. Indeed, though no announcement had been made, it didn’t stop legions of the singer’s BeyHive from anticipating something…anything…from the star – especially as she’s a) clearly gearing up to release new material and b) lives where the show was held — New York.
As the night would have it, King B did not grace the stage. She was, however, spotted with hubby Jay-Z at an official VMA after-party.
Are we slightly jarred that the 31-year-old didn’t even attend? Naturally, as the show served up little in the way of “spectacle” beyond Lady GaGa‘s stellar showing. That said, there is an air of hilarity in how much Mrs Carter consistently has everyone on the edge of their seat. Let’s just hope she doesn’t keep folk waiting so long that they fall off it.
