this should have been a HBO movie. So that JHUD could finally get an emmy. Then she can make her way to broadway and get the tony. So she can join Academy, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Awards club.

Did Beyonce ever try JJFan1814? She’s a Diva without doing all the dramatics of Jennifer Hudson I’m not knocking her shine at all cuz she has the Talent much like Beyonce!! I’m glad that they both are making those COINS!!

  9. CUTEBOOTZ August 8, 2013

Jennifer Hudson is a FLOP! Wtf u mean Beyonce could never?

  10. Zulu August 8, 2013

Both accents could have been WAY better – these are definitely not South African sounding ….especially when Jeniffer says ” Husband”, as for Terrance J watch Idris Elba do Mandela please

  11. RICHIE_RICH August 8, 2013

Get it J-hud……Beyonce has nothing to do with this post….The haters are CRAZY IN LOVE FOR BEYONCE.

  12. Brazilian Beyonce!!! August 8, 2013

No no no… I’m half South African and this girl is not Winnie they could’ve gotten the locals to act this is a disgrace to africans tbh

  13. Lovebird (roar – prism – 10.22.23) August 8, 2013

Is she the one who made Beyonce cry by winning an Oscar for dream girls?

  14. channel_ROMAN August 8, 2013

    ok.

  15. Anne August 8, 2013

The movie is getting bad reviews. It was delayed bc no one was interested on distribution. The acting is also getting mixed reviews. I don’t think JHud will hit with this, it appears to be a miss.

  16. TeamBreezy August 8, 2013

What happened to American Idol? Is she still a judge?

  17. Bey Fan August 8, 2013

Terrance nor Jennifer are good for these roles. Jennifer did an OUTSTANDING jod in Dreamgirls and the “I AM Telling You” scene. NOTHING she has done then has even been recognized. I dont like the accents, and i think they could end up dropping the ball on a phenomenal story.

But hey, Im sure I’ll be going to see it. Gotta support

As a South African I will never understand why American movie production studios feel it alright to hijack other people’s stories and make them their own. If it was their intention to make a movie about how Nelson and Winnie’s love was strained to the former’s prison sentence, why didn’t they stay authentic and get the appropriate actors. A film about South Africa should include South African actors not American one’s doing this for the faux-glory with false performances and accents that are not up to scratch.

South African actors have to watch in heartbreak as their employment opportunities are stolen by American actors hunting for awards.

As a South African I am eternally grateful that Mandela is no longer sane enough to see his name slandered by an ill-equiped actor. I am also glad that Winnie has said that she will NOT watch this movie. It is insulting, disrespectful, fake and hurtful. I sincerely hope that this movie is a failure.

  19. cocobutta August 9, 2013

I’m interested to see how they portray the story rather than focus on the accents (was never going to be on point like that.)
