The world may be holding its breath for a new Beyonce album, but if a report published by MTV Italy is anything go by, her ROC sister Rihanna is on course to drop a new album before her.

“The tireless Rihanna does not want to give up the hectic pace that characterises his music releases and after the success of “Unapologetic “and a little break from Diamonds World Tour , Riri is planning to release a new album later this year.
The new material will be worked in the next few weeks and probably will materialise in November in the eighth disc of his career (!)”
It’s important to note that this report is has not confirmed by the star’s camp, even though it’s anything but far fetched, considering the star’s habit of pushing annual releases.

If this is indeed true, we all know why. First, she was going to take a year off but now this has surfaced. If true, we all know it’s because Rihanna and her team are so used to her being todays reigning pop music act and the idea and reality of likes of Gaga, Katy, Beyoncé, and Britney all making comebacks scares the s*** out of them because we all know the latters can and easily will overshadow Rihanna. So to keep Rihanna relevant as much as possible, they’re putting together more microwaved music.
Rihanna has only been successful because she has never really had competition.

This is good news. As a Rihanna hater, I hope she does release a new album this fall. Let her keep on churning out more of those cheap annual albums. With all the competition slated for this fall, we all know Rihanna wouldn’t win against the majority of them. I bet even Ariana Grande would outdo her.
The conveyor belt pop star strikes again. All of Rihanna’s albums are cold, impersonal, thoughtless and low budget. Like toys found at the bottom of cereal boxes. They have her sporadically record through out the year so that come November they can turn those miscellaneous scratch demos she submitted from her iPhone into an “album” behind her back.
The real reasons they do this is because Rihanna’s albums don’t generate enough of a profit to extend promotion beyond the first six months or so after release. By May, her b******* albums are usually out of the top 40 and Def Jam is pretty much done sinking coins into them and are reducing the price nationwide to $5 (or less) to get them to sell out the rest of the barely platinum shipment. The only way the label can stay in the black with her is to put out a new album on her every year. They know that she can’t take a break. The GP is not going to wait on her to take a break the way they will someone like Eminem, Pink or even Gaga and will move on to another pop tart very quickly and not look back. These are the real reasons why Rihanna has to almost neurotically keep herself around in some way or another. Kinda sad that she can’t trust her own fans loyalty, but then again these are the same fans that will heckle and boo her at her own concerts when she shows up late. I wouldn’t trust the devotion of a Ninny…err… “Navy” either.
Rihannas albums are always hit and miss with me.. Disliked everything up until Rated r, I can tolerate Loud, hated talk that talk, loved unapologetic. Lets not knock her hustle, she’s making only and her fans happy. Respect to her *applauds*
