New Video: Conor Maynard – ‘R U Crazy’

Published: Tuesday 27th Aug 2013 by Sam

After making quite the splash with debut album ‘Contrast’, Conor Maynard is back with ‘R U Crazy’ – the lead single from his forthcoming sophomore set.

An edgier slice of Urban-Pop, the Labrinth produced cut continues where the likes of ‘Can’t Say No’, ‘Vegas Girl’, and ‘Animal’ left off, with the key point of difference being Maynard’s positioning as a “man”. Indeed, at 20, the rising star seems keen to ensure his music matures as he does – a point underlined emphatically in this his latest video.

Oft compared to Justin Bieber, one look and listen to ‘R U Crazy’ suggests the Brit singer is more inspired by another Justin – while staying true to himself. See what we mean below…

We like. Although, it’ll be interesting to see how this fares given the so-so performance of “Urban” in the UK of late. Could this help Conor “break” the US as was intended was his first project? Time will tell. For now, though…

I dig this. His voice sounds great on every track I’ve heard and I like the urban vibe. Beat is crazy – props to Labrinth! Video had a cool concept, better than a lot of basic ass vids today anyways. I’m rooting for him, I don’t know about a lot of the crazy b****** who comment on this site for ridiculous reasons though…

Nah, i didn’t get him the first time and still dont. He has an un-original vocal style, limited vocals and looks like a bug… i guess him a Miley could do a duet.

I await Zayn Malik to go solo, urban and kill it with singing and looks like Miguel

For the amount of female talent the UK puts out, I think its so funny how few male vocalists come from there…and the few that do, well let’s just say are “radio artists” if you know what I mean.
