Before her new studio album ‘ARTPOP’ hits shelves on November 11th, Lady GaGa has welcomed the success of its lead single ‘Applause’ this week!

Marking her 11th single to do so since her 2008 debut, ‘Applause‘ has now topped the 1 million US units sold mark- now sitting pretty with sales of 1,098,000 in the competitive market.

Set to surpass the 1,100,000 unit milestone by the end of this week, the single’s meteoric rise to Platinum glory sees her do so without the benefit of reaching the US #1 hot spot, and comes as its global sales now speed towards sales of 2 million units less than two months after its August 12th release!
In other chart news, Taylor Swift’s #1 ‘Red’ now boasts US sales of 3,822,00o units, while Rihanna‘s ‘Unapologetic’ resides at the 1,095,000 mark as of last week- moved almost a year after its November 2012 release.
On a streaming front, Elijah Blake‘s ‘XOX’ arrives at the 4 million mark helped in part by spins generated on YouTube and SoundCloud, while Jason Derulo’s ‘Talk Dirty’ spends it second week atop the UK’s Official Charts, forcing Katy Perry‘s ‘Roar‘ to hold the #2 spot for another week.

Honestly, I saw the tracklist for Celine Dion’s album & I think its gonna be the same ol’ s***!! When you buy Celine Dions albums its like buying Falling Into YOu OVER & OVER & OVER & OVER & OVER AGAIN… She does the same s*** COVER SONGS POWER BALLADS the end!!! Celine albums are so dual & predictable.. She never takes any risk that are worth a listen…
She had THAT voice during 1995-2000. I mean the best voice since the 80´s along with Whitney and Mariah. That´s enough for me to buy her new albums forever. Plus they don´t sound the same. First of all her voice is so different now to what it was in the Falling into You album. Secondly, that album is her best and is pretty different to the other ones. Finally I have to say it´s been a little bit of the same for the last 10 years, yes. But so what? She´s not at her peak. The album has a duet with Steve Wonder (which sounds very different for Celine to me) and that first single is really different to any English song she has ever released.
I also want to say her French albums are so damn different from her English ones. So she is versatile enough. Katy Perry releases way more repetitive stuff and she is supposed to be a pure pop artist at her peak (known for evolution and trying new things, or supposed to do so).
Not a big fan of s** dreams. But I know Gaga’s videos always help me appreciate the song more. And when she performs it live. She’s such a dope artist.
I listen to Applause more than Roar, but I like both. Congrats Gaga!
