New Song: Justin Timberlake – ‘TKO’

Published: Thursday 19th Sep 2013 by Rashad

‘TKO’ just may be the most apt title for the latest Justin Timberlake/Timbaland combo to surface on the web.

Acting as the latest gem to be lifted from his September 30th due album ’20/20 Experience Pt 2.’, the 7 minute long new track makes its debut after hours of teasers lifted to Timberlake’s Instagram building buzz for its arrival.

Reminiscent of everything they’ve ever done the duo’s 2006 hit ‘My Love’ meets ‘Chop Me Up’, the up-tempo Urban groove certainly packs a punch but does it stand a fighting chance for Billboard glory (unlike its ‘Take Back the Night’ predecessor)?

Wow this sounds completely different from any other JT songs and I love how Timbaland felt the need to join in at the end – said no one ever.

  4. Molly September 19, 2013

Amazing im in tears finally a epic track from him this era.

    • BLURRED LINES September 20, 2013

Epic??? LOL…gurl, Justin can die and be born again and die again and be born again and die again and be born again and still will never amount any of his singles to the success of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” because Justin in a SWAGGER JACKER…learn from this!

      • Molly September 20, 2013

Dont talk to me like that black h**

  5. CONFESSIONS = DIAMOND CERTIFIED September 20, 2013

This is a great song…it combines the FutureSex era with this 20/20 era…The Justin/Timbaland magic reminds me of Janet/Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Usher/Jermaine Dupri and Michael/Quincy magic.

    • Stephy Tha Lambily September 20, 2013

      LOL

  6. Mark111 September 20, 2013

I like it, very FS/LS, he best work. NOW I get the first 20/20, I just didn’t see the vision after such a long break.

  7. Stephy Tha Lambily September 20, 2013

Very Basic… Gosh what the f*** is going on in the music industry these days. Everyone’s music is terrible/or basic as f***. Including my girl Mariah… 2013 worst year of music ever

    • enough of no love September 20, 2013

Beautiful was a nice song that shoulda made top 10 hell it was better than roar applause and we cant stop tbh.. Mariah gave the girls vocals!

    • JOHNVIDAL September 20, 2013

Mariah is doing fine in her 24th year of career. Blame all the young ones who should be bringing fire now.

  8. enough of no love September 20, 2013

You people have low standards… The song is average and forgettable music is at its worse right now.

    • Stephy Tha Lambily September 20, 2013

Thank you… What is going on with music. honestly there has not been one INSTANT CLASSIC song this year… Everything was average

      • enough of no love September 20, 2013

Right the only memorable song this year is blurred lines and that song was cheesy tbh. And basic songs like wrecking ball & roar sky rocketing to the top of the hot 100 like wtf?

  9. ENOUGH ONIKA (KMART QUEEN) September 20, 2013

Hm, this has potential..I’ll give it another listen and see if it really moves me…

  10. Mother monster September 20, 2013

its decent. But he has yet to truly serve something truly amazing this era. None of the singles this era are memorable besides mirrors

  11. Charlie September 20, 2013

More nostalgic dated sounded music from JT. What happened to progression as an artist and producer? I’m sure the fans will lap this up…. again. he is a grown man making music that sounds like leftovers from his previous albums…. when he was younger

  12. denise black September 20, 2013

no matter what he puts out its a hit he the man

    • Joe September 20, 2013

Take Back the Night flopped #fact

  13. Islandboi242 September 20, 2013

    Fire!!!

  14. cake like lady gaga September 20, 2013

    not here for this mess

    • EnRanc September 20, 2013

Totally understood. You need to worry more about Gaga and her dire situation.

  15. ZIGGY STARDUST September 20, 2013

I’m definitely feeling this! :0) I guess Justin feels like, ….”If it ain’t broke, don’ fix it.” He has good chemistry with Timbaland and it works. So, why deviate from it? As an artist, I understand that it’s important to try new things and may be even work with different producers, but I notice the minute that some artists have done that, their music was no longer the same. If you want to try new things, that’s cool, but it shouldn’t completely alter “YOUR SOUND” to the point where people are like, “What the hell was that?” Lol. Justin’s doing fine.

  16. Navy Nick September 20, 2013

Fakest dude in the industry, but hes a smart kid, cant b mad.., hes so fake though!

  17. Snoop stan September 20, 2013

His music has been so forgettable this era. Won’t be copping part 2

  18. Goppit September 20, 2013

    Sounds dated

  19. S****** Blonde September 20, 2013

I love everything he does, The 20/20 Experience is my second fav. album of 2013 so far, i’m pretty sure i’m gonna love the sequel 2, his amazing.

    • Stephy Tha Lambily September 20, 2013

      Goodmorning Baby….

      • S****** Blonde September 20, 2013

        Hi Stephy.

    • JOHNVIDAL September 20, 2013

      Which one is your favorite?

      • S****** Blonde September 20, 2013

‘The Next Day’ by David Bowie.

  20. ririfan September 20, 2013

ummm..so basic no emotion or interesting prudoction..i wanted another what goes around or mirrors..oh well :/

  21. Stop the drama Start the music September 20, 2013

    Bye, Justin….

  22. Avi September 20, 2013

Love it. Hot ass song. Just bought it from iTunes.

  23. RICHIE_RICH September 20, 2013

It’s ok. That’s has to be the worst year for music.

  24. POP ROYALTY [RUDE BOY] September 20, 2013

    hmmm, NO.

  25. JOHNVIDAL September 20, 2013

I don´t like it. I really liked some songs in 20/20 part1, like Let the groove in, Mirrors or Pusher love girl. Some of the rest were a little bit boring. But the bad thing is this second part is not looking too good. Take Back The Night was dated, uninspired and boring (just like Suit and Tie), and this other song he is offering sounds bland too.
On the bright side, his show in Rock in Rio was great.

    • Stop the drama Start the music September 20, 2013

Suit and tie was an exception.

  26. Tallb September 20, 2013

the second part sounds great, but the song as a whole is very average, i expected more from him

  27. thelastdon September 20, 2013

I like the fact that all of his songs are longer than 5 minute i really enjoy the ending of them especially “mirrors and “don’t hold the wall..I”m def gettin this album wen it drops

  28. JER September 20, 2013

In before the same people who said “Suit & Tie” and “Mirrors” were mediocre, average, dated, and would flop.

  29. DOSSOME September 20, 2013

    Honestly…

    BEST SONGS OF 2013
    1.Pink – just give me a reason
    2.Mariah – #beautiful
    3.Rihanna – stay
    4.Daft Punk – get lucky
    5.Janelle Monae – Q.U.E.E.N

    WORST SONGS

    1.Britney – ooh la la
2.JT – take back the night (heck, even with a clear channel deal he still flopped)
    3.Rihanna – right now
    4.JT – tunnel vision
    5.Beyonce – bow down

    • S****** Blonde September 20, 2013

According to u, i love ‘Tunnel Vision’ and ‘Take Back the Night’ is awesome but that’s according to me, opinions, tastes, btw, i love Pink but i hate ‘Just Give’.

  30. DOSSOME September 20, 2013

Oh,I think this is by far his best single this year….though i don’t like it…..AT ALL!!!!!

  31. Unknown September 20, 2013

This song sounds like a continue version of Tunnel Vision from his last album. This song didn’t sound very great. It seems like he didn’t know what to say in the song. Yeah i think this song will flop. Justin Timberlake could of release this album til next year.

  32. Heavy Metal Lover September 20, 2013

Ugh hes really annoying me this era. His music is just BLAH

  33. Domonique Alsina September 21, 2013

Hype is what carried this 20/20 era because the music ain’t all that. Mirrors was the best thing about the entire project .

  34. Unknown September 21, 2013

Yes i agree Mirrors was the best song Justin Timberlake has ever done. I think after he does some videos for this album i think he should focus on his acting career or something else.

  35. MISHKA September 22, 2013

Nice song, like any song that didn’t make the cut for his 2006 FutureSexx album probably is.

Timberlake/Timbaland will always be a great combo. They can still create smash hits (Mirrors) but as far as producing albums, it’s definitely time for them to get out of this old marriage and to experience new things with new people.
