A rep for Grammy winning R&B singer Chris Brown has confirmed he has checked into a rehab facility “to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point.”

Said to be seeking treatment for anger management, Brown’s longtime attorney Mark Geragos reportedly dropped him off at the facility earlier today. The news surfaces just a day after the singer’s media circus of a courtroom hearing for allegedly attacking a 20-year-old Maryland man in Washington D.C. over the weekend.
The alleged attack, though reduced to a misdemeanor, still carries the potential of 180 days and a fine. That sentencing is separate from the potential four year jail sentence Brown could suffer if he is found in violation of his 2009 induced parole for attack of pop singer Rihanna.

We are so proud of Chris for taking the appropriate measures toward recovery. Here’s hoping the treatments act as one of many steps necessary to return him to his rightful place as one of Urban pop’s leading acts.
His talent is entirely too great for every headline associated with him to be completely unrelated to his real claim to fame.

I’m pretty sure people will say this is just for court purposes so it looks better when he goes in front of the judge for his probation violation but his life was unraveling right before our very eyes, so court case or not, this was very much needed.

I’m sure most people are pessimistic about this guy at this point as he won’t obey the judges, court orders, lawyers, publicists, or even the anger management classes. This guy is coming off as retarded to me. It seems some of his r***** following fans find a way to blame everyone but him. I don’t think he has any more ” yes men” around him than anyone other person of celebrity. His team can only make him do as he wants or is willing to do. If he does not obey the law, and judges and probation officer, what makes you think he’ll obey anyone on his team that is employed by him and his record label? The problem is Chris and I don’t think he’s as talented as TGJ thinks and there are more talented better behaved black guys that deserve the attention.
The Difficult Brown is probably doing this because he’s still facing that misdemeanor charge but, regardless, I’m happy that’s he’s in rehab. Hopefully he’ll allow himself to dig deep enough to get to the root causes of his anger.
