Watch: Justin Timberlake Takes Over ‘Ellen’ / Talks NSync Reunion / Performs ‘TKO’ & ‘True Blood’

Published: Tuesday 1st Oct 2013 by Sam

Pop titan Justin Timberlake kicked off the industry’s busiest quarter this week with the release of his latest album ‘The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)’.

With its predecessor serving as one of the year’s biggest selling records, it was always a given that the ‘Take Back The Night’ led LP would receive the red carpet treatment. Case, point, Justin’s show-long take-over on ‘Ellen’.

Flip the hood to see JT talk about his much publicized reunion with NSync, as well as performances of new cut ‘True Blood’, current single ‘TKO’, and fan-favourite ‘What Goes Around…Comes Around’.

Solid set of performances. Although, much like part 1, this album -while solid-doesn’t rouse us in the way its hype almost demands it does. Kinda, sorta, like Justin’s entire solo run. Anyway, that’s a conversation for another day. For now, though…

I’ve been a fan of Justin since the NSYNC day’s but this whole 20/20 Experience era has just not done it for me.

I love it, i’m in love with the new album, my fav. tracks are ‘Not a Bad Thing’ (which is the best Pop song of his solo career), ‘Drink You Away’, ‘True Blood’, ‘You Got It On’, ‘Only When I Walk Away’ and the beautiful ‘Pair of Wings’, i love these two records more than i love his classic ‘FutureSex/LoveSounds’, this is dope, less mainstream and way more artistry, BRAVO.

I have not listened to the album, only this live performances… but what in the world makes you think Gaga´s new songs at itunes festival were noise (if I remember correctly that´s what you thought, more or less) while this True Blood song isn´t??????
I´m not saying it´s bad, I´ll probably like it when I listen to the album, but at first listen live it sounds a bit messy, just like TKO. Many Gaga songs sound a bit messy too at first, especially live if you have not heard the studio track previously. But really, S** Dreams for example sounds more natural and less forced than this.
I hope to love it as much as Let the Groove In and a couple more from the first part though.
And btw I like it when you enjoy talented artists like Justin 🙂

So dear guys at TGJ: are you trying to say N Sync´s music is better than Justin´s music??????????? I agree 20/20 is good quality but also boring at parts… but what makes you think the music a boy band releases is better than some of Justin´s music as a grown up and real artist?
Justin is not the best out there musically but damn it, he is obviously in a whole other level now compared to that t*** crap.

This s***** album is B side songs. He dropped the ball big time on this one. NO ONE is talking about this album. When it flops, he’s say it’s a LP or a re-release to save his ass.

who has been talking abt 20/20 part 2 tho? there is literally no buzz for the album, i even forgot it was released until i went on iTunes

Doesn’t matter how much hate this tiny little blog & its followers can spit out for JT; there is NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that his performance that night was beyond EPIC and well-deserving of the accompanying award! PLEASE, just PLEASE tell me which 1 of those hos or rejects like Riri (Industry Pussay) and Robin Thicke can DANCE OR SING FOR 15.5 mutha f***** minutes straight! PLEASE, i really wanna know! Hell, even half of that- 7 minutes straight! please tell me!

    • NAQU October 1, 2013

Basically. And he’ll remain the biggest seller of this year, and I doubt too many people will outsell him next year either.

Silly, cynical hate means nothing. Check RIAA…you’re outnumbered.

B**** he sold that much because everyone got excited about his new music after 7 years. And now nobody cares for his ass with this album, his songs this era (besides mirrors) are f****** horrible.

      • NAQU October 1, 2013

B**** I bet this new album outsells that UNAFLOPOGETIC b******* by #INDUSTRYPUSSY.

Fall back when you’re talking to me before you get dealt with.

  9. Unapologetic October 1, 2013

That is one longggggggggg ass album. I cant even listen to one song as a whole. He just blended stupid useless s*** with tired ass production and called it an album. Nobody cares for this album and i cant wait for his annoying ass to get tha f*** off for another 7 years and make flop movies.

I think he is so over-rated! Talented?.., YES, but he is not doing anything out of the norm, y everyone acting like he is just sooooooooo amazing?! Child boo child bye..& please do Not compare him to Robin Thicke, his albums have all been r&b & he slays live, he doesn’t needs to dance, justin can dance but i dont c him doing it …
