Katy gave me all sorts of life with By The Grace of God!! Yes yes yes yes yes!! I can tell it will be one of my favorites. Her vocals and outfit were on point! Much better than iHeartRadio set. Btw, Walking On Air went to #1 on iTunes (Which is why she performed a new single). How can Katy go to #1 with a promo single by simply tweeting about it. That Charty Perry reign.

Walking on Air and By the Grace of God were my favorite performances of the night! I loved the WOA choreography the most. Katy has never been a dancer but she’s getting much better at it. By the Grace of God really moved me though. The lyrics are so honest and raw and she sounded amazing. My favorite part was when she gave her sister Angela a shout out. Her sister has helped her throughout her career and has always been there for Katy. That was sweet of her

This is a girl at the peak of her career and youth and getting all the possible media support right? She is also a pure pop artist, you know the ones who are supposed to bring something knew and give spectacle, not some good vocals or music but something else right? Well let me explain what it feels like for a common person watching her:
She really can´t sing at all. She can´t dance or put on a show either. This is getting to a point where even some Rihanna´s live performances are better than most of these young girls (very few, only some Diamonds and Stay here and there and that´s it). It´s truly sad. The only parts where she sounded kind of good were the backing-tracks. Musically nothing new or at least dark or interesting or something. Total basic fail.
I cannot with you trying to pass yourself as an unbiased casual listener when you hate on Katy in damn near all of your comments. You said she was at her peak during the Teenage Dream era and here she is outdoing that. Katy doesn’t qualify as a pure pop artist when she crosses into adult contemporary with alot of her songs, especially off her debut album. Pop stars are supposed to entertain, and according to the general public, she does it well. The California Dreams Tour sold out over 98% of it’s dates. If she was boring no one would pay to see her. Her dancing has improved and she definitely can sing as seen in several of the performances posted above. No one in pop is doing something new, it has all been done before. She is doing something different. With everyone doing EDM, Roar was refreshing to hear on radio. And since when did dark=interesting? What pop star hasn’t gone the “dark” route? To me that’s basic and predictable. Katy stays true to herself, something no other pop star has done.
Side note: This post is full of irony when you support Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey, both average singers who cant dance and bring nothing new to music.
Actually Gaga’s voice is much stronger than Katy’s. Katy is a studio singer with pitch problems.
Like this @stopthedrama sane person already said Lady Gaga can sing way better than Katy, way way better, she has vibrato and controls her voice perfectly. Lana is really bad at live performances just like Katy, but her voice is magical in her recordings, which is what she´s talented for: creating haunting music. Those two ladies are way better artists than Katy.
The fact you really think Katy brings something new to music but Gaga or Lana don´t is hilarious and just a proof of how laughable your opinion is, similar to that other joke called @lovebird. You people can keep stanning for Katy, Rihanna, Justin Beiber and the rest. It says it all.

And btw I didn´t mean at the peak of her career commercially, maybe my English is not good enough. I meant to say she is in top form, her vocals (hilarious to talk about her as a vocalist) are the same, she´s young, etc, etc. Some people who really work hard start losing some of their abilities as a result of work and age (normally true greats who are really special and actually posess something they can lose). I meant to say Katy is at “her best” since she has not suffered any type of decline. The fact she is this bad with all her “talents” in form is a disaster.
