Marking an exciting solo endeavour for the ‘Sweet Dreams’ producer, Rico Love‘s new single ‘They Don’t Know‘ made its debut on August 27th of this year, now three months ago.
However, in what points towards a promising commercial run, the single now holds the #18 spot on iTunes R&B, sat just three spots beneath Chris Brown‘s ‘Love More’ and three places above Tamar Braxton‘s ‘All The Way Home.’
On a Pop tip, Miley Cyrus‘ ‘We Can’t Stop’ has the 3 million figure in its sights this week, after its US digital sales arrived at the 2,831,000 mark- doing so as her new album ‘Bangerz‘ sold 24,000 units the last week, bringing it to the 502,000 milestone.
Quite interestingly, despite making more of a splash on the charts, ‘Bangerz‘ now finds itself being outsold by Katy Perry‘s ‘Prism’ which sits at #11 on this week’s Billboard 200 with 524,000 units sold to date!
Last but not least, August Alsina joins the above in welcoming good news this afternoon, thanks to the continued success of his R&B/Hip Hop #1 ‘I Luv This.‘
For, in what sees him extend his lead as Hip Hop’s fastest rising star, the Southern gentleman continues to dominate iTunes R&B with the aforementioned release. Indeed, with its original version placed at #9, the cut continues its reign over the tally with its Chris Brown and Trey Songz assisted remix, which holds court at #16.
Impressive, as the combined sales of both versions see it become one of the highest selling launch singles to be made by an Urban act in the last year, despite the slow burning sales of its supporting EP ‘Downtown: Life Under the Gun.’
