Watch: Charlamagne Tha God Grills Kanye West On ‘The Breakfast Club’

Published: Tuesday 26th Nov 2013 by David

‘The Breakfast Club’ welcomed Rapper Kanye West to its able this morning, inviting the Rapper for an interview that may just be one of their most ‘interesting’ to date.

Why? Well, ever ready to ask the questions many a radio personality may shy away from, Charlamagne Tha God took it upon himself to grill the performer on a number of hot topics currently surrounding his brand.

One of them, being the polarising visual for his new single ‘Bound 2′ and another being the supposedly damaging affect Kim Kardashian is having on his stock as a credible musician.

Must see footage below…

That ugly black guy is so pressed. he talks so much s*** hope he gets his ass beat.

    • DemiQueenVato November 26, 2013

Just stop. You can’t deal with the fact that not everyone worships your faves like you.

  2. Kim Kardashian Stan November 26, 2013

Btw the bound 2 video is everything

    • FentySoSnatched November 26, 2013

      Lies you tell.

  3. RoyaLorde November 26, 2013

He’s a wise man, but he can’t justify Kim’s level of fame. She seems like a nice girl but she is cheap.

  4. BeyWhoUWanna November 26, 2013

No amount of yelling will convince anyone that Kim should be respected. She’s pretty, beautiful, charming and is powerful but she is not to be respected at all.

    • VisionOfMimi November 26, 2013

Beyonce loves fame just as much as Kim so you can stop right there.

      • BrunoMartian November 26, 2013

How dare you? How dare you?! Beyonce is famous because she is talented and uses media as a MEDIUM to push that music.

Kim is famous because she wants to be famous for the sake of being famous and she cannot survive WITHOUT the medium. Big difference.

  5. JanetXone November 26, 2013

Great interview but it left me confused. He and Kim don’t have enough money to raise their daughter? I find that hard to believe.

  6. Tisha November 26, 2013

Yep everything your fave represents is in that video. Her getting plowed naked by a black dude who’s barely looking at her and insulting her through most of it.

  7. RiriRoyale November 26, 2013

I loved his point about about companies who reinforce negative images of black people and then turn around and want to act like they’re part of the solution.

    • Dance4U November 26, 2013

So true sister, people are too blind to see what’s really going on. Where are the positive representations of black men and women on TV. We’re lucky we have Shonda and Kerry to help us out now but what happens when Scandal ends?

  8. yonataon November 26, 2013

very well articulated! i actually really appreciated this a lot!

UNICEF today launched a new campaign—”There for the Philippines“—to support the immediate and long-term relief efforts for children and families whose lives were upended by Super Typhoon Haiyan. UNICEF Supporter Rihanna helped kick-off the campaign and raise awareness of UNICEF’s work in the Philippines via social media. She also made a $100,000 donation to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. WNBA’s Skylar Diggins, MLB star Robinson Cano and actress Vanessa Hudgens are also participating.

    His ambition is admirable.

  11. Lana the legend November 26, 2013

Kanye be speaking some real s***, but he comes off so crazy and arrogant.

  12. BEYHIVE November 26, 2013

I REALLY WANT RIHANNA, CIARA, GAGA & EVEN BEYONCE TO GET GRILLED LIKE THIS BY HIM…. I THINK IT’S PRETTY REFRESHING

  13. RoyalKev November 26, 2013

I love Ye’s perspective on things. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I respect his vision. He’s not always ranting about foolishness. People have to sometimes remove all the things about him that distract you from his message. Kanye is about breaking barriers and going above and beyond. He’s not accepting anyone’s No! Everyone should have that same mentality because we’re all capable of greatness! Now you can either take it or leave it when it comes to Kanye, but don’t bash him (for all the hoopla)and then praise someone like Gaga(no shots taken). You either stand for something or you don’t, no matter who’s face it is. Is Kanye a contradiction in some ways? He is (probably on the outside looking in), but I see a man that doesn’t put himself or anyone he loves in a box (no matter what happened in their past)! That’s incredible to me!

  14. Lana the legend November 26, 2013

Lol Ciara would have a breakdown. He goes in on her she couldn’t handle it. @beyhive

  15. Marilyn4ever November 26, 2013

Kanye made good points. Kim being Marilyn Monroe was not one. But this show is taky anyway. Anyone who invites someone to their place (or show) and wants to joke on them and put them down. Is low class and so goes their audience. You can keep it real and keep it real classy. These people clearly cannot. Kanye is a mess tho lol

    • QueenOfTheNavy November 26, 2013

Why are you making out like anybody would want to be Marilyn Monroe. Do you even KNOW what she went through?

  16. Lana the legend November 26, 2013

Kim is the Marilyn Monroe of this generation tho… yall praise Marilyn like she wasn’t a h** and a drug addict.

  17. I.D. November 26, 2013

He worships the $ WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY too much. He has become a s**** to chasing the $. Pitiful.

  18. BrandNuStar November 26, 2013

Marilyn Monroe was sexually abused as a child, turned into an industry bicycle and was abandoned by the President and his brother as soon as they had used her body for all it was worth. What was so good about her life?

  19. XXX November 26, 2013

Kim aint nobodys Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn actually has a legacy as a HOLLYWOOD FILMSTAR… She was an ACTRESS and thats what she was known for, everything else came after. Kim on the other hand, is only known to be famous because of a s** tape she is famous for being famous and will leave no legacy whatsoever besides being one of the most overexposed celebs that everyone called a s***.

  20. C.J. November 26, 2013

Marilyn is not known for being an actress. She’s known for being a s** symbol. THAT was her legacy. No one talks about her movies. In fact… I can’t even think of one movie she was in without googling it.

  21. amian November 26, 2013

it was a good point but i think is could do better to be clear an it’s not arti it’s political. and it’s not the same game.

  22. XXX November 26, 2013

@C.J well boo boo you need to educate yourself because you’re speaking for yourself. How about you start with ‘Some Like It Hot’, and then go onto ‘Men Prefer Blondes’ just for starters. Not only that, she could also sing, how about you Youtube ‘Diamonds are a girls best friend’ and ‘Santa Baby’. Yes she was a s** symbol, but she has huge legacy for various things doll, unlike Kim.

  23. Dray November 26, 2013

Kanye is so lost right now. .it’s almost tragic. It really is sad.

  24. 2bad2bme November 26, 2013

WHY IS NO ONE ADDRESSING THE FACT THAT kANYE FLIPS OUT ON THE PAPARAZZI FOR TAKING PICTURES OF HIM, BUT DON’T WHEN Charlamagne Tha God TALKS ABOUT HIS BABY MOTHER AND SOON TO BE WIFE?

  25. BrownSuga November 26, 2013

Kim did that Anna Nicole s*** and did a better twist of it and is a making money bish.

She stacks coins whether you like her or not.

I keeps up with the Kardashians but Kendall about to wash Kims fame away bit by bit. Khloe is my fav one but like Kim (when she doesn’t tell lies)

  26. credits November 26, 2013

he has a vision, he has a dream and he wants to plan for his family’s future. I respect that, however he needs to stop comparing himself to the greats and his peers. Are you an artist or a bitter competitor just trying to be better than everyone else? He is aiming really high, and his narcissistic personality wont be able to take it if he doesn’t achieve that level he envisions. You’ve sold all those albums and made the music, so yes, you are something in the music industry but that does not necessarily translate in the fashion industry. Humble yourself and stop trying to use your previous achievements to get everything you want. When you go to the business meeting and they ask why they should we work with you, you can’t just tell them it’s because your kanye west.

  27. cocobutta November 26, 2013

Kanye may deliver in a crazy way in what he is saying, but the ultimate message I get from him is he wants respected freedom from all realms. He want to be heard without prejudged thoughts or foolery mindsets. HE THINKS WAY BIG & has the right passion but just got to find the right way to come across. Be yourself but be versatile, as not all will get the message if delivered too hard for people to REALLY LISTEN. Adjust to your environments but still have that drive and hunger and VISION! Char made some very real points amongst he typical shut downs. LOVED THE INTERVIEW

  28. Navy Nick November 26, 2013

I got what he was saying….I really understand him more, as I hear interviews like this… GOOD JOB!

  29. B Honest November 27, 2013

It’s not about money, it’s about power! He is saying, we don’t own or control shxx n that’s the truth!!! Even with a Black man as president, we still have less access and power than Whites and Asians. As valuable as we have been, and continue to be, to the progression of this country and World, we still are told what to do, what we can’t do, and furthermore treated like second class citizens in most aspects of life (justice, jobs, standards of beauty, science, politics, etc.). So as a fellow Chicagoan, and Black man trying to do more than be average, trying to do more than excel in one area, trying to do more than work for people, I understand his fire, his “turn up” and his struggles. I can also admit he needs to work on tact, listening, arguments hold the same amount of truth!

  30. NickyJ November 28, 2013

I don’t think he is obsessed with money or whatever, I believe what he’s trying to express is WHY can’t we have this money. Why are we being held back? Why are there only seven black billionaires among a sea of white ones? The problem he has identified is that we as black people are not given the same opportunities, and in that way we are enslaved by those with more money. When we get to the point where we can acquire such wealth and be on a level playing field then we can control things also. We can be on top also, be CEOs and decision makers, but as long as we are controlled by these rich corporations we won’t be able to influence past what they allow us to.
