$3.8 million.

According to a report published by Bill Werde‘s Billboard today, the above is the amount Beyonce would have earned had illegal downloaders of her self-titled new album paid for the chart-topping release.

Full story below…

Since its release on December 13th, the project has been downloaded illegally 240,000 times, seeing her lose out on $3.8 million with the project retailing at $15.99, according to Musicmetric.

Indeed, with 991,000 units sold in its first ten days of release, the projects success on the charts stand undisturbed by the piracy, but no doubt shines a fresh light on the problem that is illegal downloading.

For, between December 18th and today, the star’s entire discography was shared 2 million times over file sharing sites, but does not indicate how many music lovers would have purchased her material if it hadn’t been made available for free by the aforementioned ‘pirates.’

Why?

Well, while Musicmetric‘s data confirms the intense interest there is in the star’s music online, it is impossible to measure how many people who opted to pull the album illegally would have picked it up legally even if handed the $15.99 to purchase it.

It is a really good album! Save your pennies and buy a copy!

And there is NO way to know how many times it has been illegally downloaded. NO WAY!

  2. RitasLipstick December 27, 2013

Rihanna downloaded it ten times but didn’t pay for any of them.

  3. BeyBeyKing December 27, 2013

Rihanna girl, has it come to this?

  4. Jeff December 27, 2013

those who download for free their carrier will slow down their computer. So if you see your computer working very slow then u know y.

  5. Peedi December 27, 2013

Just because someone downloaded an album doesn’t mean they would’ve purchased the real copy. What a stupid, pointless story. Everyone is a victim of piracy….everyone. 🙄

  6. SlayshantiDouglas December 27, 2013

Rihanna’s internet bill must have skyrocketed 2bh.

  7. the real xoxo December 27, 2013

this is just greedy label exec over-exaggeration
Not everyone who sharebeast’s an album would pay for it if it wasn’t available illegally.
Anyway, i bought the hard-copy of the album yesterday and LOVE the album.

LOL Yea we know RIh downloaded this Album!!! LOL! Closet Bey Fan!

  15. iconic cici December 27, 2013

Everyones album gets illegally downloaded stop acting like its only happening to Beyonce.

  16. ABC (the ORIGINAL) December 27, 2013

Ummmmmm okay? Y’all are just making Beyoncé posts for the hell of it/stan wars. Wat makes HER illegal downloads so f****** special?

  17. Draggin4MrsCarter December 27, 2013

How dare they steal from the Queen? Btw, 991,000 units in ten days. That’s so funny, hasn’t UPL sold 1.3 million and didn’t it take it a year to do it. At this rate, Beyonce is going to SNATCH its stupid wig in a few weeks time.

    HA HAHAAHAHAHHAHAAHHAAHAHHAHHAHAAH.

  18. ABC (the ORIGINAL) December 27, 2013

How is Rihanna a closet Bey fan, trolls? Mariah, Beyonce and Brandy are her favorite singers. That’s no secret dumb f****.

  19. Truth B Told December 27, 2013

I got it for free…why because I don’t support dishonest fake artists! I support true artists who write and perform their own music.. Not singers who strip and only write their names on the copyright. Im so tired of people gassing up a singer who just produces stripper music no ART in any form… she sold 800,000+ copies talent NO! art NO! how was she able to pull off something that’s never been done before.. Well for starters Jay Z. Had a rule changed at billboard allowing BIG businesses to buy bulk in albums so Beyoncé can get contracts for endorsements such as Pepsi Lorreal H&M and half them purchase large quantities of her album on top of that record labels are known to also buy large portions of albums to gurantee a #1 spot! and crazy looking sales… Cuz if you noticed her previous albums never sold close to what #ghostsales they’ve produced with this album.. and another clue Beyoncé’s album is fully stocked in stores and no one is buying leaving the shelf full… another artist who has done same Justin Timberlake and Jay Z hmmm…

  20. Dark horse December 27, 2013

The purpose of this post was just for another tired Beyonce and Rihanna stan war. smh Yall act like shes the only person who gets her s*** illegally downloaded.

  21. ABC (the ORIGINAL) December 27, 2013

@TROLLING4MRSCARTER but TTT& UNA outsold 4 in less time. Rihanna did not release this year. Why do you keep bringing her name up anyway?

  22. BeyWhouWanna December 27, 2013

Unless your faves music was shared illegally 2 million times in four/five days you can have a seat on the nearest spiked seat you can find.
The point of this story was to show how popular the Queen is. I don’t think Ciara has ever been downloaded illegally this many times and the only Mariah song people care about is AIWFC.

  23. Loyalty December 27, 2013

Actually TGJ are only reporting what’s already been reported by Rolling Stones, Billboard and various other sources. This isn’t something they’re just randomly reporting for the sake of it.

  24. Loyalty December 27, 2013

And I like how Beyoncé bought back her Sweet Dreams hair for Haunted.

  25. ABC (the ORIGINAL) December 27, 2013

^^^and it’s still a dumb ass story nonetheless. She still sold 617k in 3 days who gives a f*** about how many times it was illegally downloaded?

  26. Molly December 27, 2013

Death this story is pathetic because it happens to all musicians yet you only decide to bring light to the situation because of Beyonce smh biased much?

  27. 212Thuggin December 27, 2013

991,000 in ten days. Just let that sink in.

“CIARA” was Leaking Left, Right and Center but i’m yet to see a Story about it.

Also “”ARTPOP”, That s*** was Leaking Everywhere, torrents and all.

    and Many 2013 Albums…

But When it is Beyonce, a Story should be Posted and instantly start the “Woe is me/Pity party” Process.

I’m waiting for the “RETAILERS SALES” story. 😉

  37. Fran December 27, 2013

If Beyonce was buying her album it would have passed 1 mill by now. You people always want to question her when she is doing well. Such a damn shame.

  41. Fran December 27, 2013

@Pop thats because everyone has been talking about this album. Many people see it as a game changer whether you agree or not.

  42. Jeff December 27, 2013

This s*** is not a lie. This was on the news about this illegal downloads. The cable company will be notified and then your carrier will slow down your computer. STFU if u don’t know about this.

2 albums? If Rihanna releases 2 albums she is thirsty as hell. Because she knows if Beyonce sells over 3 million with this album she will have officially surpassed her album sales with less albums.

  52. fraudyonce December 27, 2013

  57. Brandys Starr December 27, 2013

Well she is still doing well. I purchased the album, it was worth every penny.

  58. *ℙᏫℙ ℝᏫᎩAℒᎿᎩ* December 27, 2013

    @AzaleanArmy:

    thinks?

Rihanna Inked her name up there with legends and she’s only 25 broke so many legendary records.
If that is not slaying then What you are going to call it?

judging by your name, you don’t even know what”slayge” means, unless if it has to do with slaying your own career for having Twitter beefs. 😕

  59. MDNA2013 December 27, 2013

Poor Molly, her fave has been demoted to Baby Momma status and she can’t handle.

  60. Kisses Down Low December 27, 2013

@Pop And Beyonce the legend is coming with less albums. Just like Katy is coming for all the #1s with quater the singles. Rihannas all about bulk and mass. @ S******. 25 but the real tester will be to see what she is doing at 32.

  61. cheerymm December 27, 2013

  68. Kisses Down Low December 27, 2013

  69. fraudyonce December 27, 2013

@kisses down low Riri dont care about an old woman who is defrauding people, the same way she steals and copies other people work with out paying or even acknowledging it.

  70. Kisses Down Low December 27, 2013

  73. SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) December 27, 2013

I agree with everything Pop Royalty said.

240k?!! That’s it, I would expect that te album was illegally downloaded at least 500k times.

  74. Rosie December 27, 2013

Why are the Riherpes stans so mad though? Their fave has the #1 song in the US and 12 other #1s, and the Navy is still worried about Beyoncé’s album sales. They should just accept the fact that they are both winning in their separate ways and sit.

  75. Fran December 27, 2013

@Pop You have no idea lol. So basic. A powerhouse like Simon Cowell says what he wants he does not need to be bribed. You heard of seeing the light? And I guess Beyonce paid the endlessss list of big names who tweeted about it to huh? She really should be broke the amount she pays for.

Its so funny to me, you are just a typical Ri fan using the ‘she paid for it’ to make you feel better. Haha.

  76. Stephy Tha Lambily December 27, 2013

    Rihanna >>>> Beyonce IN MUSIC

    Beyonce >>>> Rihanna IN PERFORMING

    They are equal!

  77. Fran December 27, 2013

@Rosie they are just as bad as the Hive. Yet always complain about the Hive not accepting Rihannas success when they do exactly the same.

  78. SLAYRIAH CAREY (TOUR DE FORCE) December 27, 2013

The hive’s recycled excuse is that music isn’t selling as well as the did back in the 80s/90s/early00s but even if u factor in the actual sales and it’s illegal downloads, it doesn’t match up to the numbers Britney and Mariah did in their prime.

Anyway, I’m just happy I don’t have the album at all.

  79. Itsjustl December 27, 2013

This article proves absolutely nothing. People that download music illegally know where they can purchase music legally. It’s a conscious choice to purchase the music illegally but what This article does prove is that even the people that don’t want to pay for beyonces music are very much interested in her music and must have it. 3.8milli is a lot of illegal downloading but also a lot of interest.

P.s. The album is still selling though IJS

  80. Naomi December 27, 2013

Well Beyonce still did better than all the other pop girls this year. And she is not even in the new generation. There is no denying her impact now. She can literally sell off her name alone.

  81. *ℙᏫℙ ℝᏫᎩAℒᎿᎩ* December 27, 2013

  82. Loyalty December 27, 2013

Lol @ the comments. You better cling to those myths since there’s not much else you can say. Beyoncé is still winning. And she proved everyone wrong. Her album could not sell a copy from now she already depleted the washed up, scared, has been drags people were riding the waves with which became so stale.

  83. *ℙᏫℙ ℝᏫᎩAℒᎿᎩ* December 27, 2013

God bless your kind heart. 😀

Seeing The Light? I don’t think you can say that since you are up Too many asses for you to be able to see any Light!

  84. Rosie December 27, 2013

I never said I wanted peace, I’m just pointing out the irony that the Navy stays dragging Beyoncé for dumb, obviously made-up s*** while the Navy runs back crying everytime every other fanbase does the same thing. It just shows how bitter they are, I don’t know why they’re so mad when Rihanna is basically the singles/fashion queen.

  85. Fran December 27, 2013

@Pop Im gullible? Lol no honey the industry is not just cheque cutting place. Gullible is being sheep to rumors that Beyonce and her team can just waltz around and cut anyone a cheque and she gets what she wants lol. If you believe Beyonces doing all that with so much ease then best believe Def Jam and Jay Z are doing it for your fav and just about all the other artists.

and Now back to you, i don’t really want it with you, i like you and give you a pass Clearly, but Don’t get too comfortable. if you gonna kiss Up asses, keep it like that and I will be Ignoring to be honest, But you can’t say how the navy are bitter and demand them to tone it down when you call rihanna “riherpes” and doing the same s*** they do and accusing us of doing.
you can’t sound any more hypocritical.

  89. VEE December 27, 2013

What’s so hard to grasp about Beyonce sales when there was so much hype? She even had legends like Anita Baker stanning for her. Its pretty obvious loads of people bought the album. Its one of the biggest moments of 2013. Sorry to burst naysayers bubble.

  90. Kris December 27, 2013

    Lol that’s funny!

  91. HoneychildPlease December 27, 2013

  92. Revolution December 27, 2013

It will still go platinum by the end of the week so it hasn’t done her that bad.

  93. HoneychildPlease December 27, 2013

I heard people returned the piracy and demanded a refund on that! That album it’s whack with the exception of three songs. it will be lucky if it goes two times platinum in the long run. No wonder her music label didn’t want to support this b*******! Only the stans bought it 990,000 of them lol child bye! and her physical copys aren’t even really being bought! I smell fish, beehive needs to close their legs # bye h***

  94. Revolution December 27, 2013

The only fish smell there is, is coming from that ghetto mouth of yours.

  95. TC!!! December 27, 2013

sooo everyone illegally downloads YouTube already has the album and if limewire was still here beyonce album would’ve double those 280k copies and a lot of people bought the album and selling it on Amazon and eBay that piracy and they also do that to her concert tickets!! were living in a digital age where everything is just a click away. unless something happens and there’s no more internet get use to illegal downloads! people today rather go spend hundreds on video games tv and cell phones than buy 16 dollar albums. #truth

  96. Revolution December 27, 2013

@TC they do that with everyones albums and concert tickets.

  97. Revolution December 27, 2013

Beyonce’s album coming out this year literally broke the internet. The media are going to eat up every little fact on it.

  98. rih rox((U Mad Bro?)) December 27, 2013

Oh no! Old man Yawnce is putting and paying for stories in order to save face when her album tanks. The excuse will be she “lost” 3.8 million. By the way that figure is so exaggerated.

  115. Vee December 27, 2013

  116. rih rox((U Mad Bro?)) December 27, 2013

So sales from countries which her album was number 1 and even having the album as number 1&2 cannot be tracked but illegal downloads can? Hmmm and the “exact” figure as well?

    Interesting.

@Rih Rox they can’t be tracked for all albums not just Beyoncé.

  118. Save the needy—-> Beehive December 27, 2013

Basic Comprehension skills are lacking on this post. Anyways now that the album has sold to it’s core base, it will definitely struggle in the long road. As reported sales are slowing down dramatically there goes the Adele sales!

  119. Vee December 27, 2013

Of course illegal downloads can be tracked in the US Rih Rox just use your common sense they can’t track some countries in Africa and s*** where there is no reliable chart.

  120. Vee December 27, 2013

@I am Needy care to complain what is basic about my comprehension in this situation? You are the one who did not see the dollar sign in front of 3.8 million and thought they meant album sales. DEATH.

  121. Vee December 27, 2013

    explain*******************

  122. nery December 27, 2013

It’s so ridiculous to think what Beyonce did is a game changer. It’s not, no artist is going to produce 17 videos to sell an album without promotion. The only artist that could possibly sell an album without any promotion is Michael Jackson and he’s dead. Possibly Adele now because she sold a gazillion albums so people have faith that her next album will be just as good. What artist do you know of would just release an album without any promotion or release date. Do you think Lorde would’ve sold 1 mil albums WW without Royals blowing up first?
Katy Perry had a monster hit and still only managed 290k albums sold the first week in the US.
Btw, chart news just released WWsales ,1.3 mil 10 days.

  123. Emeral December 27, 2013

She is still doing amazing in an age that people don’t buy albums like that anymore, unless you have an occasional phenomenon like Adele she is selling an album for $16. No one is forced to buy, you could illegally download, she gives you the snippets and if you like it you buy it. And loads of people are buying it. So well done her.

  124. Shaytan December 27, 2013

Like how your stole your avatar from the internet?

  125. Emeral December 27, 2013

And she lost out on 240k album sales since some are finding it difficult. When you say how much someone sold, you don’t quote the revenue they made, you quote the number of copies. 3.8 million people didn’t download the album illegally. That’s the money she lost.

  126. S****** Blonde December 27, 2013

    @Stephy
Some of your # are wrong + you missed others major releases.

Total albums sales, including, compilations, studio albums, remixes, soundtracks, live, ect.

    from 225 to 230.

    Singles sales: from 120, 158 to 182.

Total records sales: from 330, 350 to 375.

And u point was, baby, she’s the 4 best selling artist of all times.

    1- The Beatles – 600+
    2- Elvis Presley – 600+
    3- Michael Jackson – 400+
    4- Madonna – 300+

Queen Rihanna and King Eminem would be there very soon too.

  127. Kyle December 27, 2013

Everyone’s album gets illegally downloaded but not everyone releases an album the way Beyoncé did. She deffo raised the bar.

  128. Chile Please!! December 27, 2013

Ugggggghhhhhh…..so what who gives a fawk! So tired of hearing about this corny a** dry biotch & her wack ass album! I swear I’m so not a fan & don’t see the hype behind this chick!

  129. VH1 BIGGEST FLOPS OF 2013 December 27, 2013

    6. Britney Spears, Britney Jean
It’s too early to tell if the album is truly a flop but given the mediocre response, it’s certainly a disappointment. Presented as the deepest Britney record, it’s mainly just a shell of what the singer once was. Clearly fans took notice. Britney Jean was the lowest debut for the artist landing at number 4 with 107,000 copies in the first week. “Work B****,” her first single failed to connect with fans. Although the singer has a loyal fan base with gays, she still has to produce good music in order to get people to buy what she’s offering.

    5. Azealia Banks
After blowing up on YouTube and building a rabid Internet fan base, Banks quickly became the one to watch. For nearly two years, fans and critics have been waiting for an album that never materialized. Then there was that homophobic Twitter feud with Perez Hilton and her last-minute cancellation of a headlining performance at Lollapalooza. Sorry Azealia, time’s up. In 2014, we’re banking on Angel Haze.

    4. Kanye West, Bound 2 Music Video
While no one can take away from the critical success of Yeezus, there have been a few questionable moments in the promotion of the album. The worst (and biggest disappointing) moment of them all was the music video for the standout track, “Bound 2.” The Lisa Frank-inspired video featuring a half-naked Kim straddling Kanye’s literal motorcycle was not the visual anyone expected. When compared to the other outstanding videos the rapper has produced, it was hard to understand how or why anyone involved thought this was a good idea.

    3. Justin Timberlake, The 20/20 Experience Pt. II
Even though VH1 listed Justin Timberlake as the year’s biggest comeback, it doesn’t takeaway from the disappointment of his second album this year. Given the strength and success of The 20/20 Experience, it felt greedy (and unnecessary) to release a second album of original music that didn’t hold up to the first.

    2. Lana Del Rey, Tropico Short Film
First question: Why? Second question: No, seriously, why? Given the success Lana Del Rey had this year (earning Original Song Oscar buzz for “Young & Beautiful” and scoring her first Top 10 hit with a remix of “Summertime Sadness”), it really makes no sense why she released a 30-minute short film featuring three old songs other than to hold onto people’s attention as she makes fans wait for her next album. If the video had been good, then no one would be bothered but it wasn’t. The film was a bloated, awkwardly literal version of three less-than-stellar tracks. Gaga she’s not and considering Gaga’s year, LDR might want to channel someone else in 2014.

    1. Lady Gaga, Artpop
Perhaps in a decade from now, fans and critics alike will look back on this album as something special for the music it delivered. Until then, Artpop will just be regarded as a massive commercial failure focused squarely too much on stunts and not on the music. Given how much Gaga outdoes herself with each new album, it is no surprise that Artpop buckled under the pressure. However no one is feeling the pain more than her record label, which sank $25 million into making this spectacle profitable while Lorde, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus easily ran away with all the success and the attention.

I love how Beyoncé is the only one that cheats. Anyways, that’s a low number for piracy and this is what she been trying to prevent with they way her album was released.

  131. Alex69 December 27, 2013

Coloumbia records purchased her units securing number # 1 spot, overshadowed ” Black Panties” which legally nets the number # 1 spot for complying to the RAIA rules of date release.Beyonce and her marketing team knew already to drop the Album in a state of panic because Britney Spears; Lady Gaga; Taylor Swift; Kelly Clarkson; RKelly RCA’s team had releases pre-planned. Panic mode this woman is in. Downloading it wrongfully hurts everybody not just you Bey!..

RKelly is making a huge comeback and team Bey ego takes over class which netted no class breaking RAIA rules. Samsung did it also with Magna Carter…

  132. Ashley December 27, 2013

DEAD aint black panties the R Kelly album? You people are too funny the delusion is thick.^^^ anyway congrats Bey on all the album success she went the right way about it. Those piracy numbers are not that bad considering.

  133. Slayonce December 27, 2013

Beyoncé’s “Beyoncé” sold 991K copies in its first 10 days of release. In so doing, it has become the best-selling album by a female artist in 2013.The old record was held by P!nk’s “The Truth About Love,” which has sold 920K copies in 2013 (on top of 945K copies it sold in 2012).

“Beyoncé” sold 374K copies in its second week, which was its first full week of release. It sold 617K copies last week, even though it was available for only three days in that tracking week.

Beyoncé’s album ranks #1 on The Billboard 200 for the second week. Beyoncé’s previous album, “4,” also spent its first two weeks at #1, but its sales tally after two weeks was a much more modest 426K.

“Beyoncé” sold 235K digital copies this week, which puts it at #1 on the Top Digital Albums chart for the second week.

“Beyoncé” is a cinch to top the 1 million mark in U.S. sales next week. It will become Beyoncé’s first album to sell 1 million copies in just three weeks. Her previous fastest album to reach 1M was “I Am…Sasha Fierce,” which took four weeks. Here’s the number of weeks her other previous solo albums took to reach the 1 million mark: “Dangerously In Love” (seven), “B’Day” (eight) and “4” (an uncharacteristically slow 26).

If “Beyoncé” sells about 100K copies in the coming week, it will wind up as one of the top 10 albums of 2013. (Next week’s chart, for the tracking week ending Sunday Dec. 29, will be the final one of the year. FYI, the album that is currently #10 for the year-to-date, Mumford & Sons’ “Babel,” has sold 1,083,000 copies in 2013.)

“Beyoncé” is vying to become the first album to wind up in the year-end top 10 based on just three weeks of sales availability since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking music sales in 1991. The current record-holder as the album that wound up in the year-end top 10 based on the fewest number of weeks in the marketplace is Garth Brooks’ “Sevens,” which ranked among the top 10 albums of 1997 even though it was available for just the last five weeks of that year.

Moreover, if “Beyoncé” winds up in the year-end top 10, this will be the sixth year that Beyoncé has achieved that feat (counting her work with Destiny’s Child). This would put her in a tie with Garth Brooks, Mariah Carey and Eminem as the only artists to have made the year-end top 10 in six different years since 1991, when Nielsen SoundScan began tracking music sales.

“Beyoncé” is the singer’s fifth studio album. It’s rather unusual for an artist to release an eponymous album this deep into a career. There are only five other cases where an artist has reached #1 with an eponymous album this far along. Fleetwood Mac’s “Fleetwood Mac” (1976) was that band’s 10th studio album (but its first with the line-up that brought it to superstardom). The Beatles’ “The Beatles” (1968, often called The White Album) was the Fab Four’s ninth studio album in the U.S. (excluding soundtracks and compilations). Heart’s hit-studded “Heart” (1985) was that group’s eighth studio album. Metallica’s “Metallica” (1991) was that band’s fifth studio album. Janet Jackson’s “janet.” (1993) was her fifth studio album.

  134. I am above U December 27, 2013

LOL that’s not great for an artist of her caliber. Stop trying to spin this in a positive light. If you claiming you a queen than wee need to see royal numbers! Go somewhere with that IT”S GOOD FOR THIS DAY AND AGE bull! She no real queen she a fraud!

  135. TRUTH December 27, 2013

I could never UNDERSTAND how ANYONE could Stan for an artist like Rihanna..”Can’t sing if her life depended on it, can’t dance, is basically an industry puppet” just all around TALENTLESS. I always find it HILARIOUS when stan’s of her’s, would have the audacity to bad mouth artists with ACTUAL TALENT…Smh the embarrassment of it all.

  136. Rosie December 28, 2013

Tropico isn’t a flop by no means.Death at them accusing Lana of trying to get a hit, the sole reason the film was really made was to close out the BTD era for the fans. She isn’t that type of artist. It got no promo outside of VEVO, Twitter, and YouTube and the three songs featured were never promoted as singles, not to mention Interscope knew they weren’t going to profit from it, really.
US media hating on Lana again with no reason. No wonder the international press sees them as a joke.

The meltdowns on this threads are such a Kii

Beyonce remains unbothered as the biggest Black female artist of the 21sr century

  142. ratedx(love is beautiful) December 28, 2013

when I say delusional is a hell of a drug..damn…

what I find funny is the beehive bragging about beyonce selling almost a million in 10 days, when lady gaga born this way sold over 2 million in 7 days,…

please I wouldn’t even waste my time downloading an album that was made out of desperation….beyonce who’s suppose to be above everybody else has to resort to selling naked ass, and become a rihanna knock off…

  143. ratedx(love is beautiful) December 28, 2013

didn’t taylor swift do a cool million just in the states alone in 7 days..

and I can;t stop laughing at the people that think beyonce is world wide, when the majority of her album sales comes from the states..

yes beyonce remains un-bothered hence why she went to walmart, because target wouldn’t sell her crappy album..hence why she dedicated a whole song to her haters…hence why she’s selling naked ass, swaggajacking rihanna moves, and likes…

you stans kills me, with the beyonce doesnt care..you right she doesnt care about you dumbs stans opinions..she she sure all hell cares about her haters opinions

Get the FUCKKK over that R Kelly s***. The girl was 15 years old & new exactly what she was doing. BEING FAST. People act like R Kelly was fuckinggg 6 year olds every night. That girl LIED about her age! And when R Kelly stop paying her money she took it to court with that s** tape. R Kelly did not know he was having s** with an under age girl.

  146. Stephy Tha Lambily December 28, 2013

Also, Beyonce is a WORLDWIDE ARTIST.

She is selling out a WORLD tour in many countries OUTSIDE of AMERICA!

  147. Stephy Tha Lambily December 28, 2013

Janet Jackson has some of the most UNDERRATED sales of any of the divas

    Control should’ve sold 25,000,000+

    Rhythm Nation should’ve sold 30,000,000+

    Janet shouldve sold 23,000,000+

    Velvet Rope shouldve sold 20,000,000+

All For You should’ve sold 15,000,000+

Compared to Madonnas albums Janets sales are horrible considering the fact that Madonnas albums are just as good as Janet & vise versa..

If Janet was white maybe her sales would’ve been bigger.

  148. alex December 28, 2013

agree with it, on december 16th all the videos were availble on facebook.

  149. Aishaaguilerakeystesfaye December 28, 2013

But Sam, she’s always claiming not to care about album sales, so normally she shouldn’t care about the list money either.

  150. Nery December 28, 2013

Girl you obviously haven’t researched Taylor Swift numbers…She’s the only female to sell over 1mil copies in a week, twice. She’s sold 26 mil albums to date at 24 years old almost a decade younger than Beyonce,. BEYONCE didn’t set no new records, digital? Her album was only available digitally. She sold 1,34 mil in 10 days. Taylor sold 1.9 mil in the same amount of time. If she sells 3.8 mil Ww after 7 weeks like Taylor did then call her Queen.
And you call Taylor local when 80% of Beyonce sales are from the US.

  156. Mya December 28, 2013

The s**** mentality is people who always question their own. Never once do people question the white artists. The main culprits who drag Beyoncé are black people. When she is one of the full repping black females in pop now. And is respected outside of petty blogs.

  157. Aloys234 December 28, 2013

When it comes to Artists like Beyonce u dont make a copy even if u pennyless, its just wrong and a sucker punch to the art industry, ppl need to value the artists that make music worth listening n show some respect. it dont matter if they rich, they aint no different from any other organisation which employs thousands of people to help make what she does possible! I bought the album purely for them reasons

Let’s wait for the 4 the week? hahahahahahhahah and yes she is already the best selling female us u people should focus on buying ur faves album instead of trying to stop the unstoppable it Beyonce season people and u b****** better hide cuz she’s out for blood

Remember when you all said that she would sell 50k in the second week?

  162. realtalk December 28, 2013

Beyoncé has always in some form sold s***, but on a lower key. Now being in the game for over 15/17 years and became married/mature/mother her s*** now is consider more in tact by being a grown woman that’s married and now with a child. In todays industry, music is not selling as well and what she did was good for the art of music and get to listen to a whole body of work and not just singles. Beyoncé always have put in the work and that’s what set her apart from other artists. She work on this album for over a year and a half while being a new mom and touring world wide. This is a good album and people really should support.

  163. Curt December 28, 2013

So if you have such a strong reason to be against Beyonce’s music, why are you even listening to it? Your reasoning for stealing her work is hypocritical. If you don’t like the “artist”, then don’t steal her work. That’s like saying, if you sell shoes, I’m gonna justify stealing them from you because they were made in a sweatshop overseas. It amazes me how many people hate entertainers, yet blast their music constantly. Stop being so cheap. HYPOCRITE.

  164. kkkkkkk December 28, 2013

i downloaded the album illegally but i bought it twice on itunes and waiting for the hard copy to be available in a store where i live so i can buy 2 ! so my illegal download equals 4 legal ones! 😀 LOVE YOU BEYONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Rihanna fans are just hilarious! Keep bragging about Rihanna having sold more records but SHE HAS PUT OUT 7 ALBUMS!!! Every big artist would have outsold her by the time they get to 7 albums. Please come back when she actually has accomplishments that are respected outside of the navy.

Samantha girl bye. Albums leak all the damn time from Whitney to Mariah to Rihanna to ciara, etc and its not news. The only reason you reported this is because you think Beyonce’s the queen of your existence. Every time she farts you make a post. Girl…

  169. FutureCIARA December 29, 2013

    Now its no shade…

I didn’t purchase her album at all! Especially after I saw how successful it was doing in a matter of hours… what difference would my $16 have really made??

Don’t get me wrong, I support artist that I like, but with Beyonce I was basically going to be hearing it all around the got damn place for free anyway. So I felt, why even bother…

Im not obligated to purchase anyones album! Especially if shared with me first. That just wouldn’t make too much sense

And Thank God for Dropbox and friends that love to share…

The internet is SHARING! The two go hand in hand… No matter how hard any artist tries, The plan to discontinue pirated and shared music simply will not ever happen as long as there is digital music and the internet!

The only way is if b****** stop going digital and start releasing….. Like paper or plastic or some s***! I dont f****** know! But dont hold your breath Bey!

  170. FutureCIARA December 29, 2013

Her sales will only RISE with a few televised performances…. Especially if she decides to do it Grammy style in 2014

  171. YAMANN December 29, 2013

Im happy I downloaded it because its garbage!!!!
