R. Kelly Responds To ‘Stomach Churning’ Sexual Abuse Allegations

For some, it marks an inconvenient stain on a career that’s seen him hailed the King of R&B.

Alas, despite numerous efforts to drown out its noise with new material, R.Kelly will never be able to escape the allegations that have seen him branded a systematic predator by the general public.

Allegations, that detail the great lengths the entertainer reportedly went to lure and later abuse numerous underage girls, some of whom- rather horrifically- were in the eighth grade when the alleged abuse took place.

Now, after being faced with a damning article published by The Village Voice, the performer addressed the matter during an interview with Atlanta’s V-103.

A horrific story below…

Excerpts from ‘Voice’s recent interview with former Chicago Sun-Times Jim DeRogatis reads:

“The one young woman, who had been 14 or 15 when R. Kelly began a relationship with her, detailed in great length, in her affidavits, a sexual relationship that began at Kenwood Academy: He would go back in the early years of his success and go to Lina McLin’s gospel choir class.

She’s a legend in Chicago, gospel royalty. He would go to her sophomore class and hook up with girls afterward and have sex with them. Sometimes buy them a pair of sneakers. Sometimes just letting them hang out in his presence in the recording studio.

She detailed the sexual relationship that she was scarred by. It lasted about one and a half to two years, and then he dumped her and she slit her wrists, tried to kill herself.

Other girls were involved. She recruited other girls. He picked up other girls and made them all have sex together. A level of specificity that was pretty disgusting.”

“…the videotapes — and not just one videotape, numerous videotapes. And not Tommy Lee/Pam Anderson, Kardashian fun video. You watch the video for which he was indicted and there is the disembodied look of the rape victim. He orders her to call him Daddy. He urinates in her mouth and instructs her at great length on how to position herself to receive his “gift.” It’s a rape that you’re watching. So we’re not talking about rock-star misbehavior, which men or women can do. We’re talking about predatory behavior. Their lives were ruined. Read the lawsuits!”

“There was a young woman that he picked up on the evening of her prom.”

“The relationship lasted a year and a half or two years. Impregnated her, paid for her abortion, had his goons drive her. None of which she wanted. She sued him. The saddest fact I’ve learned is: Nobody matters less to our society than young black women.”

“Nobody.”

“They have any complaint about the way they are treated: they are “bitches, hos, and gold diggers,” plain and simple. Kelly never misbehaved with a single white girl who sued him or that we know of. Mark Anthony Neal, the African-American scholar, makes this point : one white girl in Winnetka and the story would have been different.”

Then, when quizzed on the performer’s alleged ex-wife Aaliyah, he shared the following:

“If you’re listening to “I want to marry you, p*ssy,” and not realising that he said that to Aaliyah, who was 14, and making an album he named Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number — I had Aaliyah’s mother cry on my shoulder and say her daughter’s life was ruined, Aaliyah’s life was never the same after that. That’s not an experience you’ve had. I’m not expecting you to feel the same way I do. But you can look at this body of evidence. You, meaning everybody who cares!”

Kelly’s response to the above?

  3. BeyWhoUWanna December 16, 2013

So her parents didn’t know about it? And homegirl lied about her age? And his own employee said it’s true? Why the hell is this man still walking free.

  4. Whitney’sLove December 16, 2013

The commenters above must be no older than 16 2bh, the whole Aaliyah situation never sat right with me because homegirl was 15 and knowing that he would go out of his way to find girls to m***** is just enough to make me want to vomit. He’s going straight to hell imo.

  9. Tisha December 16, 2013

He is truly a repulsive disgusting human being. I feel so sorry for any girl he groomed to be his victim. The issue with the girls who end up sleeping with guys like this is they often don’t appreciate what happened to them till years later. Then they’re scarred and horrified By the way a man manipulated them, how he controlled and tricked them, and the things he made them do for a few trinkets like sneakers or a dinner. It damages them.

  12. Dance4U December 16, 2013

Aaliyah’s family did not know about the wedding until after it happened and that’s why they divorced but R has been spreading the MYTH that they gave him their consent.

Tell me something, would you give your 15 year old sister consent to marry a man as old as he was? No you would not. Ain’t nothing cute or romantic about that s***.

  13. MotherMonstah December 16, 2013

I’ll never forgive Gaga for working with him.

  14. YONCE AKA BEYONSLAY December 16, 2013

He’s disgusting. A true Chester Child M******* but the black community will turn a blind eye AS USUAL.

  15. SoulSistah December 16, 2013

Call me rude, but some ignorant African Americans will defend anything if they like the person being accused. I am Black British and I find that African Americans are sometimes unable to see that black people can be guilty of crimes too.

OJ DID have his wife killed and R.Kelly is a paedophile. No question about it.

  16. TheMiseducationOfMsHill December 16, 2013

Oh Aaliyah, she was too young to know that he was controlling her.

  17. Marcellas December 16, 2013

Eww gross. I can’t believe he is still around, making music, performing at awards show, collaborating etc

  18. Anon December 16, 2013

  19. HipHopMaryJ December 16, 2013

My God! Is it any wonder her mom is against the biopic?

  20. Keyshia Del Rey December 16, 2013

Most of my fellow African-Americans are uneducated so I’m not shocked that this is OK with them. #HarshButTrue

  21. BionicGlam December 16, 2013

I’m not joking when I say I feel a vomiting sensation in my chest.

  22. FAF December 16, 2013

    Y’all didn’t know he married aaliyah? 😯

and yes, the woman who had a threesome tape her name is Deleon richards and she was young also she’s now a gospel singer & married to a baseball player

  23. Ashgino December 16, 2013

U are exactly right, Aaliyah’s family don’t want these skeletons to come out of their dead daughters legacy, it would be way too much, plus it would make them same as if they were a bad parents

  24. Ashgino December 16, 2013

I say yes to the Aaliyah biopic, and plus why you think Brandy and Beyonce had their families manage them cause they knew the music industry would of taken their souls if they wasn’t present like Aaliyah’s parents when she was working. Her mom don’t want the world to know that

  25. MC!! December 16, 2013

that’s sad!! I’m glad the other girls got through it and I feel sorry for aaliyah but it seem like she moved on too before she died.

Does anybody get surprised by this? No new nuz. It’s a shame for the US this man is still free

  30. Navy Commander December 16, 2013

He should just retire and write songs for artists who aren’t p*********

  31. M.U.S.I.C December 16, 2013

So everybody wanna come for R.Kelly years after he beat that trial. SMH. You should have crucified him them. But I still don’t see how other artists continue to work with him…

  32. Gregg December 16, 2013

Oh soulsista you have much to learn young grasshopper….All races are guilty of shielding their own in situations…….there is a long history that i could give examples but know that all races are guilty of it…..and yes he is a p******** but i have all his CD’s, its good music…..but im one of a kind i guess because i am one that can seperate an artitsts personal life and their music…doesnt mean that i agree with their personal lives at all…Reality is that all these artists present an image to us, one that has been orchestrated by publicists, managers and labels….if we got to see everyones skeletons im sure we wouldnt listen to music at all if were going on character alone.

  33. ff December 16, 2013

    False.

    Aaliyah’s parents did give consent.

  34. tera December 16, 2013

this b****** will b on the first jet plane to hell head way!!!!!!!!

  35. Mark111 December 17, 2013

I’m a huge aaliyah fan and her parents didn’t know, but I’m sure her uncle did. That’s why as soon as they found out, the marriage was annulled. And right after that, you seen her parents manage her career in interviews.

I think they marketed her to alduts cause I don’t remember Aaliyah in 94, I recall Brandy and TLC just fine. I didn’t hear of aaliyah til 96 with If Your Girl Only Knew. But it all worked out for her at the end, One in a Million is a classic and Aaliyah is still ahead of the curve.

  36. Nellz December 17, 2013

By buying his cd’s, you are supporting HIM and therefore supporting his lifestyle.. Seperating a person from their music is b*******, stop trying to justify your support for a p********.
