Robbie Myers‘ ‘Elle‘ caught up with ‘Something More Abstract’ creator Yoko Ono recently, quizzing the Tokyo-born icon on a number of Pop culture related issues.
One of these, being ‘Paparazzi’ performer Lady GaGa, whom she showers with love via a quote that’s sure to split opinions faster than Moses did the Red Sea.

“For both women and men, it is good to have an artist like Lady Gaga stick her neck out. Otherwise, art will be dead.”
When asked who she thought was leading the charge of forward thinking artists, Ono gave the answer above as her reply, going on to share when asked on her feelings towards Dance music:
“They are the singularly most artistic music chart in all the charts! It’s how you see and listen to it. The music gives people the lightness of life.”

I agree with you 100%.
Well she´s right in the sense that Gaga has been the most exciting thing in pop music since 2008, even if she´s declining commercially right now. She brought back the huge videos and she constantly releases music nobody else releases at the time. Artpop is a great album, like another comment said it is better than the other pop albums of the year. She has way more artistry in her than Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy or Milye, who are the ones who are supposed to be leading pop right now. So yeah, without her, mainstream music would be way less artistic.
She needs a collabo with King Kim on there caz nobody checkin for her crazy ass!1!!!!!
