Christina Aguilera just keeps winning.

The Pop diva has cause for celebration today, for her multimedia juggernaut VEVO have awarded her 2012 video for ‘Your Body’ their coveted “Certified” honor.

Details after the jump…

Issued as the lead and only (traditional) single from Xtina’s ill-fated (and criminally underrated) ‘Lotus’ LP, the Melina directed clip has been awarded Certified status for crossing the 100 million views mark:

Not bad for a song that was never (properly) promoted nor performed.

In any case, with Aguilera back in fighting form, we can’t wait to see her next musical move. The success of ‘Say Something’ (the ballad she features on with A Great Big World) has many campaigning for a more “stripped back” Xtina. However, as ardent lovers of Pop performers strutting like the rent was due (see vid above), we’d much prefer she return with material ala ‘Body’ and ‘Do What U Want’.

Whichever path she opts to go down, it’s clear she has a large audience waiting for her!

    Congrats I guess. These Vevo views don´t mean s***. Mariah has been “certified” too btw. We Belong Together video from 2005 has crossed that same mark.

    There’s two woman Gaga owes her career (well what’s left of it) to, Gwen Stefani and Christina. I’m still shocked how people dissed this woman for “coping” Gaga when all she did was wear a freaking hairstyle. When Gaga jacked Gwen’s style from the sound to the fashion. While at the same time no one said nothing about Britney Spears jacking the circus theme from Xtina.

    I always loved loved this song, I used to belt it out with such emphasis, truly a solid pop song, I remember being so angry it didn’t become a hot, some people flop at comebacks but this was a perfect comeback hit that never was

    @del bey
    I don´t love it like that, but I was sure this time it was going to be a hit for Xtina. It´s clear to me now. Radio doesn´t want to support her. It´s unfair, it seems like they decide who should be supported and who shouldn´t no matter what, no matter the material. Age is important in this too. Radio doesn´t support woman over 30 normally.
    So unfair how they play with people´s careers. And the public buys it, follows like sheep.

    And yet something has to mention Gaga again for no reason. She truly owns you minds or something. How can that be when nobody cares about her?
    About your point: we have to deal with the fact all this industry is so unfair half of the times. Look at Rihanna´s success! 🙂

    I meant to say “somebody” not “something”. Sorry.

    The hit that never was. Sigh, I can write essays about the injustice that occurred during the Lotus era. So many wrong decisions and poor treatment. But that was the past. The passion lost during that era is back and Xtina has grown even more as an artist. I’m loving the refined vocals and Adult Contemporary sound she delivered on We Remain and the 2x platinum duet Say Something. I’m eager for new material with those two songs as the sound direction.

    Shout out to the TGJ staff for the love the show Chrissy now. I remember when I first used this site there was alot of Xtina hate from a certain writer. TGJ has been better without him.

    @legendtina
    It wasn´t that writer, it was everybody in a very unfair and hateful way. You know people like to bandwagon and follow the hype. It seems that extreme hate has disappeared for now in Xtina´s case.

    i don’t radio have that much on why she in the spot she is in… she did have a nasty attitude towards ppl and like the saying says you don’t bite the hand that feeds you, it is sad tha her rep kinda almost ruin her cause out of the pop divas in the late 90’s I actually like Christina better girl can blow and my fave song from her was impossible from the stripped album.. hopefully she get back to where she needs to be cause she is truly talent and have a great body of work
