Daydream sold 760,000 in the Christmas week of 1995. Music Box sold 505,000 in the Christmas week of 1993. By then end of 1995, Daydream was announced as the 4th best selling album of 1995 and it was only released in September and she still made top 5 best seller with only 4 months of sales. So this whole time you and the Lames have been bragging up in down about MC’s 200 million records (as in albums, singles, videos etc), downing Beyonce and Rihanna by comparing their ALBUMS sales. Yet if you’re fair and compare records to records, MC is at 200 million after 23 years and Beyonce is at 118 million (not sure if those are solo only or added DC. I’m sure they’re solo)at 15 years and Rihanna is at 150 million records in 7 years.
So this whole time Mariah’s sales are great, but not out of this world great when Rihanna is 50 million away from matching and others like Madonna are and Whitney was just 30 million away with less albums and with 8 year breaks. Care to explain?

As for Rihanna, if she really sold 150 million records worldwide (which I highly doubt), that’s an incredible feat for her to achieve in only 7 years. However, it’s only obvious that figure is probably like this: 85% singles sales, 15% everything else. Seriously she probably hasn’t even sold quarter of the amount of albums that Mariah, Whitney, and Madonna has sold. Just like Bey, she doesn’t have great album sales.

Rihanna has sold 30 million WW (10 million in the US) and 120 million singles. Her album sales are fine. I think selling 10 M in the States when most can’t even sell over 500K.
I will never understand why the HIVE and NAVI keep going at each other when they’re the only two brown chics that can sell. I think they type of singer Whitney, MC and Celine were, they damaged their voices. Some would say “well Franklin, LeBelle and others can still sing” and that’s true, but they didn’t tour around the world, singing like that for 10+ years. I wouldn’t say Celine is non-factor. I will never be a fan but the woman will remain a legend and is one of the biggest female musicians of all time. Honestly, the only thing she beats Mariah in is performing. Celine has way more stage presence and charisma when performing. She seems into her performances unlike Mariah who always seems like she just wants to get it over with. Celine’s problem is that she always tries to imitate the studio record when she sings live. She never changes anything like Whit and Mariah. Same arrangement and same exact notes all the time.

I never payed attention to Celine, maybe cause I’m more of a fan of entertainers/dancers and not vocalists. So maybe the fact that MC just stood there is why I was never a fan, but I think you can like anyone’s song or two. So her best song since I was a kid was My All. Others would be All I Want For Christmas, Migrate, Breakdown, Forever and thanks to you, I Don’t Want To Cry.
I still think cause the type of singer she is, the notes and the tone she uses, it’s hard to execute LIVE. But she’s a great artist, but as of late, very lazy.
