After her hit ‘A Little More Jesus’ swept gospel radio and earned her a Grammy nod by her lonesome, Mary Mary fans are looking for more than a little more of Erica Campbell‘s solo work.  With the tune’s parent album ‘Help’ set to hit stores March 25th, the songstress is beginning to put her promo work into overdrive as evidenced by news she was filming a visual for the album’s title track.

Enlisting Grammy-winning gospel rapper Lecrae to help, the duo were snapped on set of the Billie Woodruff-directed visual this week. As we anxiously await her inaugural solo release, tuck in below for some behind the scenes photos and your first listen to the Urban-tinged number:

Ugh! Billie Woodruff! Really? He is soooo washed up as a director. He seems like a beautiful person though. But, ugh… That’s the thing these gospel artist are missing for the real cross-over/reach… the visuals are always so lackluster. There needs to be some professionalism and real creativity. Like i get it, there are so many things that you can’t do, but really there are so many things you can do… I sure hope this is an exception.

@ toohotfortv….we aren’t in the age of Michael and janet videos anymore…what’s the average video budget for an r and b artist these days?? lol…all she needs is some slightly controversial fashions and a good gloss finish on the cinematography and she’s good to compete with everybody else…..

And that mentality is why urban artist will continue to lose. I’m sorry but, creativity does not have to be expensive. She could go and get a student film-maker for all I care. I didn’t say she needed a big budget; just that it needs to be artistic and interesting. Otherwise, why am I watching? Why would the world watch?

well right now she’s generated much more buzz than any gospel artist has in a long time with her fashion controversy…(unless you’ve been under a rock you’ve heard about it..no shade) so lots of people are going to check the video for that….from the looks of the pics it looks as if she’s playing into it as well..smart woman….and let’s be real…creativity (other than the usual cheesy storyline with big twist at the end) costs

She is more of selling an Image than the music. Her first single was a little bit better because this second one….I dont know..she had a hit picture..but what about her songs, are they a hit?
