John Legend, Keyshia Cole, Fantasia & Nicki Minaj Impact R&B / Hip-Hop Albums Year-End Chart

john-legend-she-is-diva-that-grape-juice

Despite failing to match the number of ‘wins’ landed by Hip-Hop in the last year, R&B found itself in good hands last year thanks to releases birthed by the likes of Ciara, John Legend, Tamar Braxton, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and ‘Lose To Win‘ wonder Fantasia.

Quite interestingly, 2013’s ‘R&B / Hip-Hop Albums’ Year-End chart features a number of projects launched before 2013, telling of their quiet yet continued success on  commercial tip.

So, ever eager to keep you in the sales loop, we’ve compiled a number of the chart’s more notable entries, and have them waiting for you down yonder!

  12. anonymous January 3, 2014

Hey @flopconic cici but Beyonce’s album still sold more than Ci-loser who hasnt even sold 150k yet. hahahaha. Stay mad b****, Bey will still be slaying.

    Yaaas cici f*** Tamar.

Tamar is damn near 40 and bearly getting any type of shine lmao pathetic.

Ciara will always be above that t*****.

  16. BEYHIVE_MINAJ January 3, 2014

@Kimslut stan B****,after 17 years you really think anyone can take Beyonce out of the game? Back to the corner you go

  17. Anne January 3, 2014

This is just the 2013 sales of ‘4’. Since it came out in 2011 the fact that it’s even still on the list is evidence that it was long lasting. Evidently “Beyonce” didn’t make the cut off or would have been near the top just based on 3 weeks .

  18. RirihGirl January 3, 2014

LOL, why are people tryna bash Beyonce being #73? Remember that her album “4” was from back in 2011( 2 years old) and the fact that it’s even still on the charts after 2 years just shows how long lasting Beyonce and her music is. That’s pretty impressive. Plus “4” now sold 4.2 Million copies WW as of 2014.
Anyways, Congrats to my girl Rihanna for Being #2 with unapologetic … Slay Mamaa!!

  19. Metzo January 3, 2014

Don’t get it twisted tho ya’ll, Beyonce’s “4” album which most haters consider a flop, actually outsold “Talk that talk” (1.118 Million) and “Unapologetic” (1.113 Million) in the U.S with sales of 1.42 Million. So consider those Rihanna’s albums being Ultimate flops then.. Plus, Beyonce’s 2013 album outsold both Rihanna’s albums in less than 20 days.. Kiikiikii . Rihanna’s fans are so basic and cheap that all they can afford are singles for $1.99. Shame on ya’ll tryna brag about singles

  20. Navy Commander January 3, 2014

Sam you may really not like rih. Cause the girls you named barely made the top 20 but rihanna makes #2 and u pay her dust. What type of biased post?

  21. anonymous January 3, 2014

@Molly LOL B**** you must be out your damn mind. Ciara aint above s***. Even R Kelly’s old ass outsold that flop in his first 3 weeks and he is over 40. If he outselling your fav then you know Ci-error got problems. hahahaha stay pressed h**. Tamar will still be winning no matter what you say. her album already sold more than 275k last I checked. platinum single (love & war) and a Gold single (The One). #deal.

  22. JOHNVIDAL January 3, 2014

I´m surprised that Alicia Keys´ “Girl on Fire” album from 2012 sold more copies in 2013 than Kanye West´s last album? Congrats Alicia.
Anyway, the only albums I purchased from this R&B list are Janelle Monae and John Legend´s albums. True huge talents.

  23. ASBEENISH January 3, 2014

Yaaasss @ Queen Nicki slaying KMichshit and C-Error with a 2012 release!!

  29. SxVGE January 3, 2014

Congratulations to Keyshia, proud of her and all of her achievements with her latest album.

Brandy, Two Eleven is worthy of some praise. She really did her thing with that album.

Also big ups to Kelly Rowland, love Talk A Good Game, still in heavy rotation today.

It’s great to see good music getting recognized.

  30. The Truth Will Set You Free January 4, 2014

I am surprised that Beyonce’s 4 album got that high on the list considering that it was released idk… two years ago….oop!

Meanwhile…how is that new album of hers doing? I thought I heard it sold over a million in the U.S. in like 17 days.

    Oh. okay.

  31. Rebel January 4, 2014

This list is pretty solid! Congrats to ALL that made the list no matter the position! I gotta give a SPECIAL congrats to KMichelle, Keyshia Cole, Kelly, and CiCi. These ladies DEFINITELY put it down for 2013.

Now as far as BEY-H**-SAY, why is her ‘old’ album on a 2013 list? WOW
