After silently slaying charts with her top-selling Christmas album ‘A Mary Christmas’, the Queen of Hip Hop Soul rolls into 2014 armed with even more new music – this time playing assistant to U.K. duo Disclosure.

Their newest EDM/disco-tinged track ‘F For You’, which saw its unveiling via live debut at New York’s Terminal 5, has now seen its official video lifted to the net.

I’m disappointed with this song; just about as disappointed as the first time I tasted a crispy chicken wrap.

Mary how could you (similar reaction too)?

  2. Lovebird January 22, 2014

Mary is an RnB legend, she shouldn’t be doing this.

She has one of the best fanbases in RnB music today.

Not feeling this Mary but do you babe.

Oh… I don’t know why I didn’t realize this was their old song just reworked with Mary in it until now. It works. Mary has some odd note choices, but that’s nothing new. Disclosure is a respectable group. They definitely were the darlings of all the critics last year so… i’m sure this is a win win for them. Also, they’ve been producing a lot of hip-hop lately so… I could definitely see them doing something on her next album. Good for her! keep it fresh.

Hot MJB haters will hate glad Mary dosent try to please just urban folks cause those the ones that criticize and pick and dont support. Mary has grammy for r&b, rock , pop, and gospel so the ones saying she needs to stay in her r&b lane can kick rocks. If Mary only stuck to r&b her whole career she would be irrelevant like all the 90s chicks who by the way cant even go wood anymore. Mary went gold with x mas album cause she didnt try to please the urban (black people) she is international. Bravo Mary being experimental all these years has paid off who cares what a few urban folks want twitter (white folks) are loving this and so do I

Dope AF! Mjb has been in the game for over 20 years! She isn’t afraid to try new things. That’s why she’s relevant today. Kudos to MJB for showing females you can be successful without shaking your ass!

First of all, this genre is called SOULFUL HOUSE and NOT electronic dance music (EDM). Secondly, this song SLAYS. I am GLAD to here the QUEEN of R&B doing an original house song instead of a reworking of one of her own songs. REAL house heads will LIVE on this.

  12. Truth Tea January 23, 2014

She SLAAAAAAYED!!!! This tune is FIRE!!!! Mary sounds like a true House Diva, this is a great direction for her to take on as her uptempo jams like Fine have always been my favourites, we need a soulful house album from Mary this is FIRE!!!

OMG this is Pure SLayage. 😀

I love this , Love This love it. I have their album but Want this Version and I.NEED.EDM-MJB , is PERFECT when you have a good electronice beat with a Real Great vocalist who can give you Emotions and Soul. WIN-WIN.

i like her “Ain’t nobody” Version too, Yes for her trying this Electronic route along with her usual R&B Music.

    MARVELOUS.

    FORECLOSURE & MJB

  15. the real xoxo January 23, 2014

    This is actually good!
i don’t mind electronic music as long as it’s done properly, like this!
love the r&b-house mixture on this one. That’s why i love Mary, she has performed with the ROlling Stones and U2 but can still sang a hood jam.

  16. Savannah January 23, 2014

Wow I love it! It puts me in the mind of that early 90s dance song “Show Me Love”

  17. Britt January 23, 2014

Mary is at a point in her career where she can do WTF she wants. She has nothing to prove! She’s already legendary status so she’s just having fun at this point. I love it! Queen of R&B forever!

  18. Envi January 23, 2014

This is terrible! F**** ass dance music. No thanks. Keep it Hip Hop Soul MJB. You’re better than this Kesha/Pitbull B.S. I hope that this is just her helping out somebody else and isn’t a sign of where she’s going with her own sound next, because if it is I won’t support.

  19. whenindoubtthetruthwillout January 23, 2014

    LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Mary J Blige – Disco Diva!!!!!!!!

  20. KFLO January 23, 2014

YAASSSS! I love Mary’s strong voice blasting out club-worthy songs!

  21. KFLO January 23, 2014

Good, she doesn’t want your support – take your ass on somewhere before you brain hurts itself rattling against your cracked-out skull trying to think of a clever response. Bye b**** bye.
