Must Hear: Toni Braxton & Babyface – ‘Sweat’

Published: Tuesday 4th Feb 2014 by Sam

Today brings with it in the release of Toni Braxton and Babyface‘s hotly anticipated new album ‘Love, Marriage, & Divorce’.

The finest of musical wines, the LP sees the R&B talents blend their iconic tones with the tastiest of results.

And while the album as a body of a work is a “standout”, the sensual-soaked ‘Sweat’ serves as That Grape Juice‘s top cut.

Find out why after the jump…

Boasting shades of ‘Sexual Healing’ and Aaliyah’s ‘Rock The Boat’, the bedroom jam presents a fresh slant on “baby-making” music. With its true-to-life lyrics, the song furthers the album’s “lovelorn concept” while paying homage to the brand of “sensual” that pervades Braxton and Babyface’s respective catalogues.

Spring/Summer single, please.

lol well i suppose you are a master at predicting flops given your username.

this song is for the grown and s***. it would take someone who grew up in the 90s to appreciate this kind of music.

i for one am here to tell u boo – this song is a hit! R&B radio would eat this up

Lazy Rowland is the epitome of a flop. Toni has three multi platinum albums, and Lazy has…..???

People are hyping the crap out of this album.
“I” went to sleep trying to listen to it,R&B can be done in many different styles. While I appreciate the whole” Grown&S***” thing, this album in my opinion is a snooze fest.
Toni sounds excellent, while babyface sounds uncomfortable. R&B doesn’t have to be boring, how does a song with the title “Sweat” sound so tame?

Hopefully Toni will give us another solo album. Pulse was a great album, this not so much. I love Babyface and Toni but the album is dry.

For the cool in you>any song on this album
Seven Whole days>any song on this album.
Both artist have had better material as album filler’s on previous albums. I brought it though 🙁

Great music, every song is so intimate and the production is stellar. Some songs Babyface’s voice seems subpar, but Braxton doesn’t disappoint, She has that butter, sheer, silky smoking thing that is unparalleled, but sometime i wish she would just sang like back in the days. Rollercoaster& The D word are potential hits.
