‘What’s My Name’ rapper DMX saw his name atop headlines all morning as the selected participant out of 15,000 contenders to square up with George Zimmerman in a celebrity boxing match.
Now, reports have it that a rep for the former hit rapper hasn’t signed him up quite yet and won’t until the pitbull-lover gets a whiff of the contract figures…
As reported here, George Zimmerman – infamous Floridian neighborhood watchman – had been soliciting fighters via e-mail to box him on a televised event. But, while a number of famous contenders stepped up to the challenge, including rapper The Game, TMZ broke news this morning that ‘Grand Champ’ rapper DMX would be the one to don gloves and go toe-to-toe with Zimmerman.
Now, the story has changed.
“[A rep states that] DMX verbally agreed to “beat Zimmerman’s ass” … IF and when he sees the terms of a contract … which hasn’t happened yet. Once an agreement has been finalized, we’re told DMX will officially be down for the bout.”

The news surfaces after reports D threatened to urinate on Zimmerman’s face:
“I am going to beat the living f**k out him … I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f**k him right up. Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d**k out and piss on him … right in his muthaf**kin face. Zimmerman is a piece of s**t and that’s what he needs to drink.”
Further details, including the date and venue of the bout, are set to be revealed next week. We really hope X isn’t talking all this trash talk only to get in the ring and get his assets handed to him.

Any celebrity fighting Zimmerman is doing more harm than good. They’re not only trivializing Trayvon’s death, but also keeping his murderer atop of headlines aswell as putting money in his pocket.
Though I’d love to see Zimmerman get f***** up, I’d rather it not be on his terms. And I don’t think its a coincidence that DMX was selected a day after he vowed to break every rule in boxing to beat George Zimmerman.
