Delayed in earnest, the project is finally set to arrive in stores on March 4th via the singer’s own label Written Entertainment. Guests on the set include Rick Ross, Beenie Man, Jeremih, and French Montana.

Don’t see how this album musically bares any correlation with the ‘Braveheart’ title.
A few cute songs but nothing has matured and little growth.

If you were a fan of Ashanti’s during any part of her career (no not talking about the I liked her song….. type fans) but a legit honest fan. Or simply if you love R&B music, this album sounds great from the snippets.

I swear if this album was released in succession to her hey day and no Murder Inc record label drama/issues, this would be another platinum selling album EASY!

A few Pop oriented songs, but the majority of this album is true and through R & B! So for those saying they have been wondering where its at or why white artists have been creating it, here is your chance to support talent, R&B, and yeah a black woman creating the music.

I’m torn to buy in store or iTunes, since I bought “I Got It,” on iTunes, but I love hard copy CDs. Hmmm… From a first listen “Don’t Tell Me No,” was great BTW.

Remember how good concrete rose was?

This is sounding much better than I thought it would. More power to her for getting the big name features, esp Rick.

I agree with the price drop though, 6.99 seems fair esp since she won’t have the major push of a big label.

    750k first week.

  31. JDE97 February 12, 2014

Yeah, the album is solid. No worse than any of the other albums that “hit” today. Ashanti needs strong management. That’s the first problem I see with most black/urban acts…Kmart management. If she’s going to insist on trying to go at it as an independent act, God bless her…but she needs a skilled and rock solid manager/promoter behind the scenes to compensate for the lesser push her music will inevitably get because of how it’s being released. 106 & Park is cute. Try to get on MTV, Fuse, Entertainment Tonight and at least a presenter role at whatever big music award show is coming next.

  32. REALLY!? February 12, 2014

    This album sucks!

  33. Truth February 13, 2014

This is a great album sonically and vocally just from listening to the previews on itunes this is definately 100% ashanti’s comeback album and shes doing it INDEPENDEDNTLY. Its a way better album than Beyonces lets be real guys. Ashanti definately has a hit with this one. Almost every song on the album is a radio record or has top 10 potential from No Where, Runaway, Count, She Cant, and First Real love With Beenie Man. I am absolutely shocked at how good it is sonically i really salute Ashanti for growing with her sound because its definately nothing like ive heard Ashanti before.

  34. Truth February 13, 2014

You cant be serious. Did you ever listen to it? GTFOH. beyonces album aint better than ashanti’s lets be real if you want to know an album that sucks listen to B’s latest crap shoot of an album. No single worthy songs except Drunk in Love.

  35. True_Critic February 17, 2014

The vocals in SCARS & FIRST REAL LOVE ohh and 3 words are AMAZING!!!! Honestly, NOTHING out sounds like this! The album is WAAAAAY better than Bey’s! The title BRAVEHEART makes sense because she’s been through A LOT and still NOTHING has stopped her. Clapping it up for you Ashanti, can’t wait to hear your story! #BraveHeart #Ashanti
