Much to the delight of her charismatic fan base, April 25th will bring it Nicki Minaj‘s big screen debut in ‘The Other Woman’, starring ‘Vanilla Sky‘s Cameron Diaz.
Marking one of many projects set to support the rapper’s third studio album, this morning welcomed the arrival of a fresh teaser from the flick, showcasing a little of Minaj’s performance as Lydia, Diaz’ husband-hopping assistant!

Though it’d be only fair to judge her performance once the movie is released in full , it’s safe to say the it’ll will benefit a great deal from Nicki‘s role in it, pulling in audiences keen to see the mc flex her acting chops.
More importantly though, we can’t wait to see how the project is used to support album #3, ‘The Pink Print’, and how the last two years have shaped the star’s vision, sound and approach to her craft.
For, with her buzz single ‘Lookin’ Ass‘ soaring on Urban radio, it’ll be interesting to see how the album’s first single fares upon release, and how the LP itself lives up to its two year long hype.
Hype, that could easily be turned into ‘Pink Friday’-scented sales if its material covers all formats, held by the glue that is her lyrical skill, ‘Mean Girl’-esque humour and armed with videos just as cinematic as the one below.
