Ashanti certainly got her fair share of critical acclaim for her latest top 10 release ‘BraveHeart.’

Now, as the project continues to bid for commercial acclaim to match, the songstress revs up her promo rounds to discuss its development, the ups and downs of being an independent act, and her next single.

While the choice may come as little surprise, tuck in below to see what Ashanti has appointed as the follow-up to her moderate Rick Ross-assisted hit ‘I Got It’

    Yes, smart move.

If They promote “Early In The Morning” properly then it could be a huge R&B hit. She should save “First Real Love,” for the summer time, July 2014 if she wants to release that as a single.

    Good moves Shani!

I HAVE to get this album. I heard it a few times and it’s her best work. A real boss lady that call all the shots and write her own songs, oops.

I always said that R&B artist should go inde if you can write. These labels aren’t doing crap for these R&B artist. WHen R&B starts back making music for the people and not the sales, THEN R&B will be back. Look at Country music, they stay true to the craft.

This album needed just abit more promo BUT it did well and it’s a solid effort.

Here’s hoping the next single “Early In The Morning” does well.

Is Ashanti still saying “ooh baby …awww baby” every 3 seconds in her songs?

I think at Early In The Morning will be as good as the promotion of it. I really do think her marketing sux. Ashanti to me has ALWAYS beem a great songwriter, if nothing else people should take away just her lyrics alone. Most people refuse to overstand going Indie is tough your music industry today is monopolized this is why you can have really great talent but no maistream support or the $$$ to show for it. Its says alot to this womans character after having broke records to stand on he own rather than being compromised & becoming a sellout. I love this new album & I have been a PROUD fan since day 1. I wish her much success and happiness.

I seriously thought First Real Love was going to be the next single, especially heading in the spring and summer. But I understanding following iTunes. Hope it works out.

I love Ashanti!!!!!! She is out here grinding it out! I can hear it in her voice on this interview! I wish she would do some calls to a few radio stations though because I haven’t heard them play any of her new songs out now. I know Early In the Morning would do good on the radio! It would be probably as big as Future and Rihanna’s joint!

“Count” should release in June. Summer Anthem!!! And then release “Scars” (US) and “First Real Love” (overseas) to close out the album around August-September.
