Congratulations are in order for ‘You’re Mine’ maestra Mariah Carey and ‘Radioactive‘ sensation Rita Ora, both of whom have made significant gains on digital outlet, iTunes.

In the mood for good news?

Meet us below!

As Ariana Grande’s ‘Problem’ sits at #2 on iTunes USA, Ora‘s ‘I Will Never Let You Down‘ remains at #1 on iTunes UK, two days before it’s set to be named the highest selling British single of the week!

Lifted from her second studio album, the single is yet to fare as well overseas but does find itself outperforming Calvin Harris ‘Summer‘, Michael Jackson‘s ‘Love Never Felt So Good’ and Katy Perry‘s ‘Birthday’ in her domestic market, while placed at #17 on iTunes Australia.

Meanwhile, after her set on ‘Today’, Mariah Carey sees pre-order sales of new album ‘Me.I Am Mariah‘ rise to #29 on iTunes USA‘s album tally, soaring back into a commendable position after spending the bulk of last week outside of the Top 100!

Priced at $12.99, the LP hits stores on May 27th and has already spawned the Platinum single ‘Beautiful’, and the promising ‘You Don’t Know What To Do‘, hopefully enjoying a better fate than the success-evadingYou’re Mine.’

Ugh! Today’s music industry is a TRAGIC! Where is Rihanna or someone interesting…

LMAO so everything is terrible but Rihanna is good??? You officially lost it. Sorry but I don´t think you ever really liked Mariah Carey or any other legend. At the end of the day you know them since… 2012? 2011? 🙂

Lol “song of the week” on iTunes? That really doesn’t mean too much because only a fraction of music is bought/purchased/listened to on iTunes. I really don’t take iTunes positions too seriously I mean c’mon a number one on iTunes = a certified smash??? Naw! Too many examples negating that insinuation y’all are trying to push down our throats.

    • Rosie May 16, 2014

For albums, yes iTunes isn’t a good indicator of sales, but 60-70% of singles in both the US and UK are sold on there.

  3. Mariah Qwenn May 16, 2014

Don’t care about Mariah’s Live performance. I will be buying the album! And it will be a number one album. Just you wait and see! Go Mimi Go!

  6. Lovebird May 16, 2014

Can she hurry up and release thirsty already; my ears are itching.

Death at Rita Oral’s struggling single performance. Roc has already found replacements for this FLOP.

  7. Molly May 16, 2014

Congrats to Mariah hopefully this means the album will be #1 on its release week.

  10. Desiree May 16, 2014

Rita Ora is a local act and she isn’t even that successful in London, tbh.

  11. Minaj21 May 16, 2014

Rita Oral is a f****** mess. I don’t know why Sam always riding her dikk.

  12. Rosie May 16, 2014

Not even all of her payola and label-sponsored endorsements and magazine covers could make her not local.

  13. RihIcon May 16, 2014

Mariah album should be a guaranteed #1 with all the ore orders . And not rita charting above Katy lmaooo. How much has iggys album sold this week?

  14. CherylSoldierr May 16, 2014

4 number 1s out of 6 singles released is really good.

  15. Mark111 May 16, 2014

I still don’t know Rita’s artistry. They tried to make her the new Rihanna or the mini Beyonce at first and now she’s just lost. Didn’t they say she was a writer at first? What is her sound? I just don’t get it, the just threw her out there with no ground to stand on.

  16. H2O May 16, 2014

All of that and still ….. nothing but a UK singles act

    • Stephy Tha Lambily May 16, 2014

      You are evil!

  17. dotti May 16, 2014

this song should be a hit on billboard hot singles. it reminds me of ‘it’s like that’ from ’emancipation of mimi’.

  18. Adele reigns supreme (Kelly Clarkson) May 17, 2014

  20. JOHNVIDAL (Iconic chanteuse is coming) May 17, 2014

Great for Mariah! Preorders seem to have been working really well, which is surprising without a hit single out. I can´t wait.
