In two weeks time, Michael Jackson‘s second posthumous album, ‘Xscape,’ is set to debut to much fanfare. Today we’ve learned of which special guests have been drafted in to take the LP to new heights!

After the jump, find out who’s lucky enough to snag a spot on the Epic Records set…

According to Page Six, Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, Questlove and D’Angelo have all landed coveted spots on the album set for release on May 13th.

The project’s lead single, “Love Never Felt So Good,” is scheduled to be released later today (Thursday).

As the buzz continues to grow around the project, even more details are emerging about the source of the music. “Michael Jackson didn’t trust anyone with his music,” said Aaron Reid (L.A. Reid and Pebble’s son) who co A&R’ed on the project. “He stopped finishing songs. He had a whole bunch of material stored away.”

As Reid explains, Jackson left lots of unfinished verses, hooks and such—all of which he felt weren’t good enough to release. An all-star cast of hitmakers put together the bits and pieces into eight songs, including Rodney Jerkins and Timbaland.

Are you excited to hear the new music? Or is his Estate cashing in on his popularity?

New album? Isn’t the man dead? Let him rest in peace 4fs

Someone in the jackson clan should have put a stop to this after the way he treated Queen Janet. MJ did not like half of the fools associated with this album.
    The THIRST on their part.

Why do people keep saying let him rest in peace? When white artists die and labels release their stuff I never hear any complaints like black people do. Ultimately some of the money is going to his kids. I don’t have a problem with that. I’m sure that’s what he would have wanted. For some of his family to be provided for even after death. I know I would. I would be dead I wouldn’t care either way.

Side note. That album cover is scary. Like bad dream scary.

If someone did this to The Beatles, Kurt or Freddie Mercury, their fan base would riot.

Actually didn’t iTunes just exclusively release the Beatles hits ? Yeah they did. And it sold extremely well. So what were u saying again?

      • Jewel May 1, 2014

Releasing an album of hits is different to releasing an album of unheard material. Michael was a perfectionis and never released anything that was not 200%.

      • Jewel May 1, 2014

        Perfectionist*

    • smh May 1, 2014

You’re a fool if you think his kids will see any of that money.

    • FutureCIARA May 2, 2014

NOW YOU KNOW GOOD AND DAMN WELL THAT MJ CHILDREN WILL NEVER SEE A COI FROM THIS ALBUMS PROCEEDS!!!

      STOP YOUR S***!!!

THERE ARE TO MANY MONEY HUNGRY EXECS THAT WANT TO DRAIN HIS ESTATE FOR FILTH!!!

States that Mike didn’t trust anyone with his music, yet let some “hit makers” finish these 8 songs. Timberland is a hypocrite! The same person that said that no one should mess with Aaliyah songs except the people that worked with her. A few years later and this happens.

LOL NOT HERE FOR THIS TRAINWRECK.

  8. Mizuki May 1, 2014

MJ may have approved of JT’s talent, but that doesn’t mean MJ liked JT especially after the fact he embarrassed his sister in front of millions tarnishing her career in years to come. With that being said, I don’t MJ would’ve approved of any of this. The album cover looks creepy and his lips looks like the lips of a woman.

I don’t get it, Michael was always a perfectionist and if he scrapped that material than he obviously didn’t want people to hear it, if he did, he would have released it and i think they are disgusting for putting it out just to make money with his name. Let the man rest in f***** peace!!!
Btw the cover is creepy af , especially the eyes.

  12. beyugly May 1, 2014

WTF if this is his album cover the s*** looks horrible.Compared to his old ones this Is awful.Who’s idea was this? Certainly not MJ’s.And xscape??? Really??? Mj would never approved of such a title…This was stored away for a reason.

  13. Blacksista May 1, 2014

Why aren’t any of his family members on the album.

  14. coolness May 1, 2014

Well, um, this is weird. I’m sorta like a new age MJ fan (I didn’t grow up on his music) so I’d like to heart what they put out. However, I have a problem with Timbaland. Wasn’t he the same person who criticised Drake for working on Aaliyah’s unreleased tracks? Now here he is doing the same with Michael. And come on, why are you guys acting shocked that JT’s involved in this? As long as it involves Timbo, Justin will 9 out of 10 will probably be present. I love JT, but I’m sure all this was done with $$$ on everyone’s mind. Just wait till when the track drops, the media will view it as some sorta passing of the torch from the King of Pop to him. Anyway, the album cover is creepy.
