Trey Songz is set to pull the ‘Trigga’ on July 1st when his sixth studio album blasts into stores.
So as to whet appetites, the R&B crooner unveiled the LP’s accompanying cover – which is easily his most creative yet.
The set, which is lead by single ‘Na Na’, has also spawned another new song ‘SmartPhones’ – the video for which Songz debuted moments ago.

Now that’s a great album cover! Maybe a bit too much going on but creative nonetheless. His best album will forever be Ready. Let’s see what he can do this time.
I don’t like all of his music, but Trey has a great visual team behind him; very smart and artistic. From radio to the web to printed media, his projects are always rolled out well, and that shows me his team doesn’t cut corners and they care about giving the fans a complete package. Even if Trey makes a video that doesn’t quite work (“Na Na”), you can still see they put some thought and creativity in it. Usher’s camp should take a few notes.

No disrespect but I still don’t know who he is as an artist. He’s An ok singer with zero effect on the male r&b genre with the exception of maybe influencing forgettable asssss August Alsina. I’m still waiting for a young make vocalist to take his thrown. Sad that the last mainstream make we had that also had vocals was usher. What’s up with that? I will pass. I’d take R.kelly (who he’s imitated since his debut) over this s*** yet forgettable singer anyday.

It’s hard to believe that he’s Chris Brown and Neyo’s peer. Seeing how Neyo is dead and Chris is almost gone, I guess Trey has made the right moves by keeping low.

No matter what naysayers say, it is very telling that a lot of R&B soldiers (Jeremiah, J Holiday, Lloyd) came and went, but somehow Trey has managed to stay current and is now releasing his sixth album.
Now he knows what works for him and is sticking to it. Good job, Trey.
