With new album ‘Xscape’ topping the iTunes tally in over 40 countries, Michael Jackson‘s continues to prove himself the unshakable King Of Pop.

Still, even royals require promotion. As such, the team behind the L.A Reid helmed LP have released a new music video for the project’s lead single ‘Love Never Felt So Good’.

Jackson student Justin Timberlake joins in the festivities, paying homage to the late, great star on the version of the song he features on.

Watch the clip, which juxtaposes new JT visuals with classic MJ videos, after the jump…

Told y’all Corny Timberlake was gonna make a sad attempt to pass the torch. Although I will give him the Prince of Pop title, but he can’t dance to save his white ass.

Lol, Mark you do too much on Justin. I get that you’re an MJ fan but he is too 🙂 You can bet he’s over the moon to be involved in such a project. I don’t agree with this posthumous album but hey, it’s happened. Oh and it’s a good thing he left the heavy dancing to the professionals. It wouldn’t have been a good look for him to try and keep up. And that goes for any other pop star.

On the main version, the only problem i have is that they doubled MJ’S voice on the chorus. I know the only recording they had was the demo, but they should had got a background singer to add to it and that’s the only thing better about the remix.
    The rest is s***.

It’s cute! It doesn’t give me the true essence of MJ I needed but it was pretty good…

  5. Rihboy May 14, 2014

Such a lackluster video! If you are promoting mj, you have to go hard. The concept is dated and i cant stand justin timberlake! Talented, but something about him just upseTs my entire soul. 2/5
    P.s. His bland dance moves!

Cute tribute, 1:30 mark, my fav part, i’m obsessed with JT’s a$$, he’s so cute, those jeans, this will make a lot of people lose composure, MJ fans, JT haters, all united, the general public will enjoy it anyway, for must people Usher should be seen as MJ’ s prince but to the world, Justin IS, deal with it. Expect every pop girl to duet with Janet and Madonna on their posthumous albums, imagine Gaga’s dream come true in Madge’s first post-dead album, there will be scandal and uproar, lol, jokes aside, Michael Jackson was one of the greatest entertainers of all times, so Long Live the King!

Usher has always been his own guy. The difference between Usher, Justin and Chris is that Usher has his own sound and moves. Usher goes farther back than MJ, i see James Brown. The later two are just copies.

It’s the same with Madonna/Janet with Britney, Britney is her own woman, Gaga is a copy. Janet with Aaliyah Vs Ciara Inspired Vs Copies

      • S****** Blonde May 14, 2014

I get what you mean but they are both influenced by MJ, not to mention that they are the most successful so people focus on them, i don’t think JT can be seen as a copy of MJ anymore, he has separated himself from all that with the 20/20 Experience, he abandoned even his moves, he was heavily inspired by MJ on his first album but since FutureSexLoveSounds he has been mr SexyBack and no one else.

The thing is, Usher was seen as more of an R.Kelly/Bobby Brown hybrid during the early stages of his career (My Way). People really started to make the MJ connection when Confessions came out because it was similar to Mike’s rise in immense rise in popularity on the charts in the 80’s (Thriller). That album, coupled with other successes made him the biggest black male artist since MJ. No other black male artist has achieved that kind of crossover success. Chris was close but his personal life issues got in the way 🙁 As for JT, these comparisons started at the VERY beginning of his solo start because his career was very similar (more so than Usher). You know coming from a group and all. Didn’t Rolling Stone Magazine name him the new King of Pop in 2002? As S****** said, JT seems to have come out of that mould but the comparisons are being made because he’s a big male Pop star. Usher barely gets that kind of treatment and when he does, he always says that he’s not out to take anyone’s place. They’re both great guys and I wish their fans would stop going at it. It’s not the 2000’s.

Mess. The King is doing backflips in his grave over that demon estate allowing that boy bytch to even be attached to anything with MJ’s name on it.

  8. SMH May 14, 2014

MJ officially passed the torch to Usher in 2001 when he ended his 30th anniversary concert by dancing onstage with Usher. HE’S the true heir apparent to MJ’s throne. Timberfake got that title thanks to white privilege. Accuse me of playing the ‘race card’ all you want, it’s the truth.

  9. Me. I am Skyfall May 14, 2014

I like Justin Timberlake as a solo artist, but i’m sorry this should of never been done PERIOD. I bet Janets titties are boiling

  10. Sandra May 14, 2014

Why are they doing this?!!! I’m so annoyed and angry. Stop trying to make money off Michael and stop releasing songs he didn’t want to release. I can’t even watch the video, I’m just going to be upset. I wish Michael was alive.

  11. My Gums Tho(aka Teacher) May 14, 2014

    I hate Justin Timberlake’s b**** ass!

  12. XtinaTheDiva May 14, 2014

The only one who should’ve featured on this song is Janet! I like Justin, but why did they choose him?

  13. Sandra May 14, 2014

After watching the video I have to say it’s ok, I kinda liked it but it still makes me sad because it makes me remember that Michael is gone
I still don’t approve of this album though but I like some of the songs

  14. OMG May 14, 2014

Nope…..!!!!If anyone outside the Jackson family should be doing this video it should have been Janet.

    • Julian May 15, 2014

Um, Janet is not “outside the Jackson family” though, you genius.

  15. eric May 14, 2014

How can such a blatant form of disrespect be lauded as a tribute? What did Justin do to earn the right to honor Michael when he didn’t honor his obligation to Michael’s most celebrated sibling in 2004? Justin is again serving his own interests as he always has. Michael would not be happy.

  16. RoyalKev May 14, 2014

I’m really trying so hard not to be offended by JT’s appearance in this video. It just seems to be so self-serving. JT harps on anything that gives off this illusion that he’s the second coming of Michael. So many artists mirror MJ moves and spirit, but I feel like JT believes he can fill his shoes. This duet was that last notch he needed in his belt (since he’s already done duets with Janet and Madge) to declare him to be the new KOP! Yes, he’s one of the leading male artists of his generation. he’s actually a pretty good one. I don’t take that away from him, but I honestly feel this man is poison to the Jacksons.

As for the album, I find this whole thing cringe-worthy. None of the Jackson’s have yet to approve of it. MJ was a perfectionist and I think some of these songs (from what I’ve heard) sound incomplete. This project coming behind the last one that was partially sung by a MJ impersonator does little to convince me that “Xscape” is meant to be a genuine MJ tribute. I’m just over it! I’m not even a MJ stan, but this is criminal!

  17. There once was a pimp and his h**… May 14, 2014

Disrespectful and unwanted, that’s all I have to say about it.

  18. MJstan May 14, 2014

    I love it!

  19. Navy Commander May 14, 2014

They should’ve had Janet instead of timberfake

  20. Casual May 14, 2014

I like it, but they should have used Off the Wall-era MJ footage, b/c this song gives a late 70s to early 80s vibe.

  21. Luke Thomas June 18, 2014

Justin Timberlake is highly overrated and he simply used Michael Jackson in effort to revamp his fame. I heard JT’s other recordings and all I can say, like Justin Beiber, Timberlake is *very* overrated.

What disturbed me about this video is the overuse of boys including a scene the boy is grabbing his crotch. That was so disgusting.

  22. Osei July 10, 2014

MJ is truly the king. Anytime i listen his records i feel like he is still alive. For sure one of the best music celebrities ever been born!
