Six years after bidding farewell to the world, MTV‘s ‘Total Request Live’ is to return to screens across the globe this summer…thanks to Urban Pop chanteuse Ariana Grande!

Going a long way to prove just how influential Ms.Grande has become since her debut last year, July 3rd will welcome ‘Total Ariana Live’, a TV special whipped up to promote her forthcoming sophomore LP and its latest single ‘Break Free.‘
Hosted by Sway Calloway, the 30-minute long special will welcome the first spin of ‘Free’ and make a surprise announcement we hear is not to be missed.
On the show, Grande shared:
It’s a huge honor to be able to bring back a show like TRL, I used to love watching it growing up. Can’t wait to celebrate with my loves in Times Square. Might have some surprises too.

Surrounded by a live studio audience, Ariana and Sway will discuss her highly-anticipated sophomore album and play fun music themed games that will put her musical skills and knowledge to the test. Additionally, it’s no secret that Ariana is big hip-hop fan, so MTV will test both her song knowledge and vocal ability in a game called “Hip Hop Mix Up.” Each round, she will spin two giant wheels: one with song title and one in vocal styles (like Country or Valley Girl) where will then have to sing the song in the chosen style.

Good sis David, when do you plan on posting a chart check where Pills N Potions dropped 20 spots out the top 40 this week, just like I predicted? I should just change my screen name to oracle tbh. Anyways, now that Ariana is done (for the most part) with her “Baby Mariah Carey” image, I’m willing to give her music a chance. I have no time for MC clones, they all share the same fate. Problem was catchy but got boring quick, so hopefully her new song is better and they don’t kill the buzz with a terrible video like they did Problem.

Im glad Ariana’s team has finally gotten a better promo plan for her. Yours Truly couldve done so much better if they were this organized. It sold over 20k each time she performed at a major award show. This TRL idea sounds very cool, I’ll definately be tuning in. My only complaint is that they’re releasing Break Free too early. Problem has made massive gains on radio this week and will be dethroning Fancy at #1 on radio within the next two days. With one amazing performance of Problem, like an acoustic one. it could return to #1 on iTunes and land Ariana her first #1 single. I just dont want Break Free to kill Problem off yet.
